Program

Day 1: Welcome to Cancun!

  • Welcome dinner at one of the best contemporary-Mexican restaurants in Riviera Maya.
  • Enjoy a gourmet dinner and personal attention by the chef.
  • Stay at one of the partnered boutique hotels at Playa del Carmen or at Chef Alejandra's boutique casita.

Day 2

  • Culinary experience class (Mexican breakfast at “Mexico Lindo Casita”, visit their organic garden, Mexican cooking class, snacks, Mexican feast with everything you will prepare).
  • Evening and night at your leisure so you can explore vibrant Playa del Carmen / Puerto Morelos.
  • Stay at one of the partnered boutique hotels at Playa del Carmen or at Chef Alejandra's boutique casita.

Day 3

  • Arrival to Valladolid: visit the food market, downtown, San Bernardino Exconvent (beautiful Valladolid colonial city).
  • Cenote and Mayan food lunch, swim and explore.
  • Video mapping at the convent and nice walk and drinks at Calzada de los Frailes.
  • You will spend the night at Rancho Palchalhal in Valladolid at Chef Alejandra's boutique casita.

Day 4

  • Unique culinary experience in Yaxunah Mayan community. Interact and cook along with the best traditional Mayan cook in Yucatan. Chef Rosalia Chai and her Mayan family will teach you how to make tortillas, cook in a “pib” (buried oven) and eat in a traditional Mayan home at this village immersed in the jungle.
  • Try the best Cochinita Pibil, Tamales Colados, and tortillas.
  • While the food is in the pib, you will visit the magnificent Chichen Itzá archaeological site. One of the most important ruins in the world.

Day 5

  • Go with the chef to pick ingredients at the market.
  • Culinary experience class at Mexico Lindo Casita in Valladolid, cook a Yucatan cuisine menu, and feast with everything you will prepare.
  • You will sleep at Chef Alejandra’s boutique casita in Puerto Morelos.

Day 6

  • Day at Isla Mujeres. Lunch at a beach club with special selection food and drinks with star chefs.
  • Night at your leisure.
  • Stay at Chef Alejandra's boutique casita or Playa del Carmen boutique hotel.

Day 7

  • Culinary experience class (Mexican breakfast at “casita”, visit the organic garden, Mexican cooking class, snacks, Mexican feast with everything you will prepare).
  • Dinner and drinks at a top trending bar at Playa del Carmen or Puerto Morelos.
  • Spend the night at a hotel or Chef Alejandra's boutique casita.

Day 8

  • Breakfast / brunch at Mexico Lindo Cooking, perhaps a nice morning at the hammock.
  • End of the culinary tour.
  • Spend the morning at Puerto Morelos beach club (optional).
  • Transportation to the airport.

This cooking vacation takes place in Riviera Maya and Yaxunah, Mexico.

Food

All meals and cooking classes are included in the price. Apart from three cooking experience classes, you will also have a chance to cook alongside the best traditional Mayan cook in Yucatan, Chef Rosalia Chai. Try the best Cochinita Pibil, Tamales Colados, and tortillas.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 35% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 10 days before arrival.
