During the first week, your accommodation will be at a lush green resort tucked into a serene pocket of Mangattukara, Angamaly and spread across 15 acres of land, just 12 kilometers from the Cochin International Airport (COK). It is dedicated to the true spirit and representation of a typical traditional village of Kerala. Single cottages with all amenities surrounded by a variety of trees especially nutmegs and sit-outs with a view of green paddy fields. Outdoor pool and restaurant facilities are available.

In the second week, the accommodation will be at a backwater beach resort set on a stretch of land between the Cherai lagoon to the east and the Kuzhippilli beach to the west. The architecture of the resort has largely been influenced by the vernacular traditions of Kerala with thick curvaceous circular columns supporting wooden beams that bear the tile clad roof with pediments and niches in stained glass.

The rooms give an excellent view of the backwaters, the pool, and to the west past a line of trees, the sea. Kerala is blessed with a unique set of geographical features that have made it one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in Asia. A long shoreline with serene beaches, tranquil stretches of emerald backwaters, lush hill stations, and exotic wildlife are just a few of the wonders that await you once you cross over to the other side.

And what's more, each of these charming destinations is only a two-hour drive from the other - a singular advantage no other place on the planet can offer. Kerala prides itself on being the flag bearer for not just how a culture can respect its past but also march forward with growth and progress as well. Hundred percent literacy, world-class healthcare systems, India's lowest infant mortality, and highest life expectancy rates are among a few of the milestones that the people of the state are extremely proud of.

Cochin is arguably the ideal starting point for exploring the diversity and beauty of Kerala. With the best places to visit in Cochin, it has been rated among the top three tourist destinations by the World Travel & Tourism Council. The backwaters of Kerala can especially be experienced through the waterways flowing across Cochin in streams and lagoons.

Such places have now been converted into picnic and fishing spots, where visitors can boat through the water and stop midway on an isolated camp for some private time with nature. Fort Cochin, one of the most famous beaches has a colonial-era feel and cool winds from the Arabian Sea that soothes the nerves of backpackers sailing or cycling across the city. Cochin is also particularly known for its religious houses especially British era churches, and forts that have been converted into temples.
