Maria's cooking philosophy is quite simple: she wants to teach people to cook and enjoy good and healthy food. Choose our hands-on cooking classes in a historic Venetian Villa of the 15th century, to create an unforgettable holiday that combines Italian food, wine, art and culture. Class includes the main menu, soup, appetizer, snacks or dessert. The local women of Veneto will share their techniques, special ingredients, and family recipes. Our classes are ideal for cooks at all experience levels. Enjoy our traditional cuisine and the noble wines of the Veneto. A half-day excursion is organized with visits to a fish market of Chioggia.
Tenuta Castel Venezze, once a prestigious villa owned by noblemen, was built in the fifteenth century. Beautiful antiques and ornaments reflect the elegant style of that era. This original villa is the oldest building in the area.
With the Contessa's concern for the ecology and authenticity of Tenuta Castel Venezze, she has developed the estate to retain its rural charm but with the additions of superior modern accommodation.
Enjoy maximum privacy with a warm, kind, pleasant atmosphere. It also features a beautiful garden and a swimming pool that is disinfected with mineral salts only. The size of the swimming pool is 12 x 6m available from May to September.

During your course, you will be staying near Venice, at Tenuta Castel Venezze, Contessa Maria Giustiniani's Estate. A private property set in the heart of a beautiful green and cool garden, it offers you an oasis of peace and tranquility.
The historic Venetian Villa of the fifteenth Century is located in the heart of the Venetian countryside, between 20 minutes to 1 hour distance from well known cities of art and beautiful places like Venice, Ferrara, Padua, Lake Garda, the fishing port of Chioggia, Vicenza, Verona, Ravenna, Bologna, the Po Delta, and the Brenta Villas.
The nearest aiports are Venice, Bologna and Verona (1 hour). Treviso airport is about 1.5 hours.
Many people from Britain fly from Stansted with Ryanair. Their destinations are Treviso, Bologna, Bergamo.
For our area Treviso is excellent because within 5 minutes of the airport there is a motorway road that has an exit just ten to fifteen minutes from us. It is better if you rent the car at the time of booking the air tickets, particularly if you do it on-line.
Low-cost flights are with Ryanair.com and Easyjet.
British Airways and Alitalia fly to Venice and Bologna and many guests use those routes.
You can take a train to Santa Lucia’s Venice train station: there is one every hour to Rovigo, which is the nearest city to Maria's Cookery Course, it takes about 1 hour to get there and a single ticket costs 7 Euro per person. At Rovigo Maria's Cookery Course will provide a taxi, the cost of which is 20 Euro one-way. In case Maria will be free, she can come directly to the station to pick you up to our Tenuta for free (She has almost always the time to do it). In case you decide to come directly by taxi, Maria's Cookery Course will provide one directly to Piazzale Roma in Venice: it takes about 1 hour to reach our Tenuta and the price is 90 EUR one way or 200 EUR round trip.
