Mapuyampay is located 200 kilometers south of Santiago de Chile, near Curicó, the provincial capital and main entrance for tourism in Chile, also known as 'Cordillera Maule Norte' (North Maule Range). Mapuyampay is quietly nestled in the foothills of the majestic Andes Mountains, at a good two-hour drive south of Santiago. It’s a little off the beaten paths, right in the heart of Chile’s Wine Country and only 50 kilometers away from the Andean village, Los Queñes, or the colonial town of Santa Cruz. This is the ideal place for interesting day trips and exploring Chile’s Wine Country.
Los Queñes is a mountain village at 40 kilometers of travel by car, over dirt roads in good condition. This little village is nestled in the imposing Andes Mountains at the encounter of two rivers, the Teno and the river Claro. This place is ideal for rafting, kayaking, or fly fishing. Easily accessible trails are perfect for walking and hiking. It’s easy enough to get around by car in the region and truly a privileged way to discover this still unspoiled countryside. Mapuyampay has detailed route indications at your disposal.
This package includes breakfast, brunch, and dinner. For brunch, you will have fruits, quiche, homemade sweets, waffles, or French toasts. Meanwhile, you will have Mediterranean flavors for dinner. In Mapuyampay, all meals are prepared by the Belgian-born chef and cookbook author, Ruth Van Waerebeek.
