"This is the most wonderful place to go to. A haven of tranquility with beautiful gardens to wander around. Vicente and Ruth are the perfect hosts, charming and informative. The cooking classes were fabulous and creative. And the wine pairing at dinners gives that little extra touch. The accommodation is beautifully rustic. For everything you get - the classes, breakfasts, dinners - it is amazingly good value for money as well. Everybody who goes must count down the days until they can return. I know I am!"

"We stayed for only a night, we drove from Santiago but it was worth it. Ruth is gracious and a pro. Vicente is friendly and accommodating. Together, they make the perfect hosts. We stayed in a villa and it was really nice to have our own rooms and living room, at a fraction of a hotel room. Dinner was delicious. Breakfast was abundant and excellent. Vicente maintained great communication from time of booking. He arranged a nice horseback ride for us. I enjoyed the swimming pool and also star gazing at night with his powerful green laser to teach us the constellations."

"This is a great place to relax and to enjoy Ruth's wonderful cuisine and Vincente's Pisco Sours. In a secluded valley with great views and close to the wind country make it a lovely place to see this part of Chile. It's the best value stay we have had in Chile."

"Three of us spent a week at Mapuyampay with Ruth and Vincente - and it was the highlight of our two and a half weeks in Chile. We stayed in the cabin which has two bedrooms, kitchen, dining and living area - and a fabulous private patio. The grounds of the property are lovely - green and lush with a pool and several sitting areas. Our cooking lesson with Ruth was fun and the meal we prepared in her large comfortable kitchen was creative and delicious. We will be preparing the same menu for friends back here at home. We also had a breakfast, lunch and two other dinners - all were special and made with many things from the garden and featured local recipes with her special twist. Both Ruth and Vincente are delightful hosts! Ruth made us maps to various day trip destinations including the markets in Curico, a small mountain town and an olive oil ranch - where we had a great tour and learned how the pros taste olive oil from Carlos - whose family owns the place. No bread when you taste it the right way! We tasted Pisco Sours in many places - but had the very best ones here! We highly recommend visiting Mapuyampay!"

"I hardly know where to start in describing our very best experience in over 3 weeks of traveling through Chile. Do not be discouraged by the road to Mapuyampy. It goes from paved to gravel to dirt. You will drive over a broken down wooden bridge that you will think will not hold your car...but it will!We were there for 3 nights and had our meals there. The cooking school was all about Chilean cooking and was superb. You will be doing lots of the prep work yourself. Each of the three main meals we had were outstanding. As you can surmise this is out in the country and has lots of acreage. They also have a very nice pool. Be sure and go to the most excellent web site. wwwmapuyampay.cl It is no wonder that every reviewer has given Mapuyampay 5 stars It is impossible to go wrong at this destination."
