Anne Maree Kennedy

Anne-Maree Kennedy is a certified yoga teacher and yoga therapist with qualifications from the Australian Institute of Yoga and Art of Living in India. Anne-Maree has been practicing yoga for over 20 years, teaching Vinyasa Flow and leading yoga retreats in Bali, Turkey, and Lorne since 2005. She is passionate about Restorative yoga and meditation to help bring about a sense of inner peace and clarity to your busy lives.

    The location was fantastic and very relaxing for a retreat. The food was great and Anne Maree and Hussy were very welcoming and friendly in their home.

    Ann Marie is a very experienced yoga teacher who is warm, friendly and nurturing without being intrusive.

    She offered a very well structured two days with free time to enjoy long beach walks, a stroll along a bush track, and time reading on our private balcony. Hussy's cooking was delicious and I slept very well after the evening relaxation session. A very enjoyable two days.

    The location was beautiful. Anne Maree was flexible and welcoming and took us to see some beautiful locations to really boost our experience to another level!

    We were sad to leave! No negatives at all for this experience!

    Ann Maree was absolutely amazing, the perfect host and yoga teacher! I gained a greater understanding of meditation and yoga. I was hesitant to come to the retreat on my own, but I'm so glad I stepped out of my comfort zone! The location was beautiful, loved meditating my the river and waking up for the sunrise!! Highly highly recommend!!

    Really enjoyed my stay at Mango Lassi. I was there with girlfriends to celebrate my 40th. Anne Maree was welcoming and accommodating. It was such a peaceful environment and the meals I must say to as delicious. The beach and river meditations where a stand out for me. Must say spectacular location near all amenities. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

    From start to finish we felt ​at ease and comfortable at this gorgeous yoga retreat.​ The beautiful home with large picture windows has views of the surrounding bushland and is within easy walking distance to the main street of Lorne. The yoga was taught in peaceful surroundings​ with the lounge room ​quickly converted to an idyllic yoga studio for classes​. ​Anne Maree was such a calm and patient teacher. Her knowledge of yoga was clearly extensive and she has a wonderful ability to share her knowledge without forcing the information on you. She will patiently seek out how much (or how little) you want to learn and will work within those parameters. My husband and I personally wanted to absorb as much information as we could and Anne Maree was so generous with her teachings. The sunrise walk and guided nature meditation are not to be missed. Anne Maree and her husband are brilliant hosts. The Turkish food provided was delicious and plentiful. Mealtimes were an absolute highlight ​and were just like sitting around a table eating and drinking with old friends. You don't have to lift a finger and will feel ​incredibly spoilt!​ We left feeling inspired to continue with our yoga practice, as well as feeling relaxed, invigorated and ready to return to the busy working week ahead.

    Mango Lassi’s yoga and cooking retreat was one of the most relaxing, welcoming and uplifting retreats we’ve been on. Anne-Maree is an excellent yoga teacher and was happy to tailor the yoga sessions around our specific interests. Her hatha/vinyasa style was ideal for what were after and her meditation sessions were wonderful - especially the one in a beautiful, secluded outdoor spot amongst the trees! Anne-Maree’s a real pleasure to spend time with and the pace of the retreat was spot on. The yoga, coupled with the delicious turkish cooking class was such a treat and we can’t wait to do it all over again! :)

    Anne Maree instructed yoga classes in our office for a number of terms. Unfortunately for us, a move of office meant that we no longer had space to hold yoga in the office. This was to the disappointment of many of our staff who loved her classes. Anne Maree is an exceptional instructor (and I have been to many different yoga classes in my time). Her classes were well planned, interesting, and catered for all fitness levels, which were very varied in our classes. Coordinating the sessions with her was always easy and she was reliable, punctual, and professional. I would have no hesitation to recommend Anne Maree for a corporate environment. The biggest recommendation of all is that our staff still refers to her as the best yoga teacher. If we were to be able to start classes again at our work, I would be contacting Anne Maree straight away!

    Not only do I feel I have had a physical workout, I also find that I am more relaxed and left the class in a peaceful state of mind. What has really had an impact is an experience I had during my very first class. This left me realizing afterward what a positive effect yoga had on me. It felt like I had experienced a high level of spirituality and peacefulness. A tranquility! I felt purified and cleared of all negativity. What an experience! I also enjoy the physical side, which leaves me with poses I can enjoy when at home, knowing which ones feel beneficial to my body and mind. Having an instructor like Anne Maree, with a calmness and soothing nature about them, helps put you in an open and tranquil frame of mind, which makes the journey of the class even more satisfying and beneficial.

    Since doing yoga, I have noticed many changes in both body and spirit. I am clearer in thought, my mind is much quieter, I make decisions more concisely, I am more in tune. My flexibility and strength have increased and I am more aware of my posture.
