Locanda degli Ulivi is an ancient country mansion of the 18th century in Arcugnano, surrounded by olive trees, turned into a small hotel and restaurant of charme. The accurate refurbishment has maintained the mansion’s ancient style, adding modern comfort. There are 10 elegant and spacious double rooms in Veneto style, with wooden floor, oak-beamed ceiling and white cotton fabrics, all equipped with private bathroom, olive oil courtesy set, safe, air conditioning, Internet Wi-Fi, TV LCD HD 26 inches with international channels, minibar.

Outdoor sports lovers will be able to do bike tours, trekking, golf, and horseback riding in the nearby of the Locanda. The panoramic terrace is perfect for relaxing, aperitives or banqueting events up to 200 people, while the intimate indoor room with the mantelpiece invites to candle-light dinners. Superior rooms have an amazing view on the surrounding hills while the junior suite has a living area and a romantic in-room bathtub.

Day 1

  • Check-in from 16:00
  • Welcome aperitive and tasting of local products: Durello wine, baccalà mantecato with polenta, soppressa, Vicentina, and homemade bread
  • 3-course traditional dinner in Locanda, either by the fireplace or on the panoramic terrace. The menu will be “bigoli con l’arna” (homemade noodles with duck ragout), Bacalà alla Vicentina with polenta, and homemade tart with wild berries jam and vanilla ice cream
  • Overnight stay in a double room

Day 2

  • Buffet breakfast
  • 2 hours of cooking experience with Marisa Cotella: An introduction to traditional Veneto recipes according to the season. The spoken languages will be Italian, English, and German.
  • Lunch with the cooked food
  • In the afternoon guided visit of Vicenza, which displays the most amazing millenary architecture and Palladian masterpieces
  • 3-course seasonal dinner in Locanda, either by the fireplace or on the panoramic terrace
  • Overnight stay in a double room

Day 3

  • Buffet breakfast
  • In the morning, you'll have 2 hours cooking experience with Marisa Cotella: more traditional Veneto recipes according to season. Spoken languages: Italian, English, German.
  • Lunch with cooked food
  • Wine tasting at a local winery on Colli Berici hills in the afternoon and guided tour of the most enchanted places on the hills
  • 3-course seasonal dinner in Locanda, either by the fireplace or on the panoramic terrace
  • Overnight stay in a double room

Included excursions

Day 2, Afternoon guided visit of Vicenza:

  • Approx 4 hours tour from 14:00 to 18:00 pm
  • Transfer from Locanda degli Ulivi to Vicenza city center
  • A local guide will show the guests the main Palladian masterpieces (Palazzo Chiericati, Teatro Olimpico, Basilica Palladiana, Palazzo Barbaran Da Porto) and Veronese paintings in Santa Corona Church.
  • Entrance tickets are not included in the package

Day 3, Afternoon wine tasting and guided tour of Colli Berici

  • Approx 4 hours tour from 14:00 to 18:00 pm
  • Colli Berici hills are best known for their beautiful landscapes, of woods, vineyards, and ancient villas. The wine production is also well known for its high quality, diplaying local vines along international ones.
  • The guests will visit the 300 years old winery of Count Alessandro Piovene Porto Godi in Toara di Villaga and have a tasting of his delicious wines.
  • All the way to the winery, the guests will be shown the most enchanted places on the hills

The tasty breakfast is served either on the outdoor terrace or in the cozy living room. On the buffet, among other delicacies, homemade jams and cakes, local cheeses and cold meats, fruit in season, and fresh eggs are cooked upon request in your favorite way.

The restaurant offers products of the territory and fresh fish according to the season, selected for high quality and cooked with creativity. Some examples are bigoli (homemade noodles) with chestnut flour and truffles of Colli Berici, ravioli with pigeon and red wine sauce, black rice with lobster ragout, marinated radicchio with blue cheese of goat, T-bone steak and porcini mushrooms, “bacalà” alla vicentina. All desserts are homemade and wines are suggested by the sommelier according to the chosen dishes and served also by the glass. The restaurant is open for dinner from Monday to Saturday and for lunch on Sunday.

Bike rental is 15 EUR per day per city bike and 40 EUR per day per electric bike. At least three days advance reservation is compulsory.

Golf Club Colli Berici in Brendola is 10-kilometer far. 1 green fee 18 holes at Golf Club Colli Berici in Brendola is at special price 45 EUR per person, instead of 55 EUR.

Trekking

Colli Berici hills offer a wide number of trekking / biking trails, of varying difficulty, in a highly natural environment with amazing landscapes. Locanda degli Ulivi will gladly supports the guests with maps, itineraries, and visit suggestions.
