Enjoy a relaxing holiday that will take you through the most interesting and beautiful places in Northern Vietnam. Explore the stunning Ha Long Bay and its many caves and islands, discover the history of Hoa Lu and Tam Coc, and dip your toes in the world-renowned Vietnamese cuisine! This vacation is the perfect combination of gorgeous scenery and culture; you will learn about this wonderful country while you have fun with unique activities and excursions.
You will spend three nights in Hanoi and one night on board the Scorpion Cruise.
You will be picked up from Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) and taken to your hotel in Hanoi. After checking into the hotel and a welcome drink, you will receive a city map, two bottles of water, and access to the Wi-Fi.
After having breakfast, you will be picked up at the hotel at 08:00 and taken to Ha Long Bay. At 12:00, you will arrive at Tuan Chau Marina and embark the Scorpion Cruise, where you will receive a welcome drink and a cruise briefing. At 13:15, you will enjoy a delicious lunch served on board, with seafood and Vietnamese cuisine, while cruising to Dark and Light Cave.
At 15:00, you will explore the most fantastic water cave, Dark and Light Grotto, in Lan Ha Bay by kayaking or on a bamboo boat. Later, at 16:30, you will return to the cruise and head to Soi Sim Island, where you can enjoy swimming or climbing up to the top of the island to take in the amazing views. You will return to the Scorpion Cruise at 17:30 to relax and enjoy sunset happy hour with a variety of beverages.
At 18:00, you can enjoy a Vietnamese cooking demonstration on the sundeck. Dinner will be served at 19:00, with Vietnamese food and barbecue seafood. After dinner, at 20:00, you can join some board games or squid fishing.
Welcome dawn in the early morning by joining a Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck at 06:00. Afterward, Western style breakfast will be served at 07:00. Upon arrival at Sung Sot Cave at 08:15, you will begin exploring the cave with your tour guide. Once you return to the Scorpion Cruise, you will continue exploring Ha Long Bay and pass through Hoa Cuong floating village on the way back to Tuan Chau pier.
At 11:00, you will enjoy the delicious Vietnamese cuisine lunch served on board before disembarking at Tuan Chau Pier at 12:00. Afer disembarking, you will begin the journey back to Hanoi, where you will arrive approximately at 16:30.
After breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel at 07:45 and taken to Hoa Lu and Tam Coc, enjoying the beautiful sceneries of the rural areas on the way. Upon arrival at Ninh Binh province at 10:30, the guide will take you to visit Hoa Lu, the ancient royal capital of Vietnam. You will visit Dinh king temple and Le king temple from the 10th century and learn about the heroic histories of these kings in Chinese Wars.
Later, you will go to Tam Coc and have lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you will get on a bamboo boat rowed by the local people in Hoang Long River to visit Tam Coc on the way. You will pass through three enormous caves that provide a brief shield from the intense sun. It takes approximately two hours to go up and down the river. Along the way, you can witness local fisherfolk, village life along the river, and striking limestone karst formations.
If you like biking, it is a good idea. You will have the chance to visit real villages and amazing landscapes by bicycle, all about one hour away from the restaurant. You will return to Hanoi at 16:00 and arrive at 18:30.
After having breakfast at the hotel in Hanoi, you will enjoy some free time before being transferred to Noi Bai International Airport (HAN).
This vacation will mainly take place in Hanoi and Ha Long Bay, Vietnam. Hanoi is located on the banks of the Red River, with the tranquil Hoan Kiem Lake at its heart. This city is the capital of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. North of the lake are the bustling streets of the Old Quarter, where each street is named after the trade that used to take place there.
You will also visit Hoa Lu, the first Vietnam capital under the Dinh and Le dynasties, and Tam Coc, located around 100 kilometers south of Hanoi. The outstanding natural beauty of the limestone peaks is often said to surpass Ha Long Bay's splendor; Hoa Lu and Tam Coc are often referred to as the Ha Long Bay on land.
During this holiday, you will get to taste Vietnamese cuisine and seafood. On your free time, you can also try the local food found on the streets and markets of Vietnam.
