After the food market tour, you will go to Séné Oysters farms to enjoy a fabulous picnic while admiring the silver shades on the ocean. Back to the White and Blue farmhouse kitchen in the afternoon, you will wash hands, tight your apron, and learn how to prepare and to cook a typical Breton four-course menu. Tasting dinner accompanied by wine follows the class.
Brittany and Normandy Heritage itinerary features 10 main cultural sites to explore, indulging in a millennial history.
Dinan is a very impressive walled town set on a hillside overlooking the river Rance. This town is the birthplace of Bertrand Du Guesclin, the 14th century military leader famous for victories over England. You will admire its numerous half-timbered houses, attractive port, and cobbled streets filled with art galleries and craft shops.
The last day is given to the Mont-Saint-Michel medieval UNESCO site. Touring in Mont Saint-Michel requires time as you will be visiting the abbey and cloister which remains primarily a place of meditation and contemplation in the heart of the bay and its silver waters which sparkle like diamonds.
Saint-Malo, well-known as the pirates and corsairs' headquarters! The most important historic period for Saint-Malo started in the 1500's for three centuries. It was a base for many official pirates and corsairs including Duguay-Trouin and Surcouf. Pirates were supported by the King of France to attack and seize the goods from ships of other nations.
It was a profitable trade which made ship owners very rich. From the port of Saint-Malo, departed many expeditions especially the one led by Jacques Cartier when he discovered Canada, and the city also built its reputation with the spices trade. Saint-Malo “intra muros” old quarter, boasts tall granite buildings and an impressive thick granite fortifications.
Founded by the Romans after their victory over the Veneti in 56BC, Vannes became one of the most important cities of Brittany, and the favorite residences of the Dukes at the end of the Middle-Age. In the 17th century, convents were built giving to Vannes the status of an important religious city. At the same period, as the Parliament of Brittany moved from Rennes, many houses were built especially in the southern part of the walled city.
Later in the second half of the 19th century, the railway and the installation of two artillery regiments contributed to the city's growth. Today, Vannes boasts a superb and well-preserved architectural heritage that you will discover along a guided walking tour.
Private transfer by car from Charles de Gaulle Airport (CGD) to Josselin that will take approximately four hours and 30 minutes. You will have lunch in a traditional restaurant on the way. In the afternoon, you will check-in to the White and Blue Brittany Guesthouse.
You will have some resting time. In the afternoon, you will go on a visit to Notre-Dame-de-Carmès Chapel or Timadeuc Abbey. Later that day, you will have aperitif and dinner in the guesthouse, served in the family dining room. Stay overnight in the guest house.
After breakfast, you will transfer to Vannes. You will then go on a morning market tour and shopping with Chef Joris. Afterwards, you will enjoy a VIP picnic in Séné Oysters Farms in Gulf of Morbihan. In the afternoon, there will be guided tour of Vannes historic quarters. After breakfast, you will transfer to Carnac. There will be morning cycling tour through the megalithic site and the picturesque hamlet of Saint-Colomban set on the custom officers’ path.
Then, you will have lunch in a typical creperie. Afterwards, you will transfer to Josselin through Etel and Saint-Cado. In the afternoon, you will visit to the Chateau of Josselin which is opened from 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Then, you will transfer to the guesthouse. You will have dinner and stay overnight in the guesthouse.
After breakfast, you will check-out and transfer to Dol-de-Bretagne through Dinan. There will be morning guided walking tour of Dinan. You will have lunch afterwards. In the afternoon, you will transfer to Dol-de-Bretagne through Combourg, the history of the medieval chateau is linked to the French literature genius writer François-René de Chateaubriand.

After breakfast, you will transfer to Saint-Malo. You will spend a full-day in Saint-Malo including a two-hour guided walking cultural tour of the city and time free for shopping. You will then have lunch in a traditional restaurant. Afterwards, you will transfer to Dol-de-Bretagne through Les Rochers Sculptés, a unique heritage left by the Abbot Fouré in the 19th century who was deaf and dumb.
It took him 15 years to carve 300 figures in the granite rock, tracing the existence of a family of privateers of the 16th century, according to the legend. You will then have dinner and overnight in Le Chateau du Mont Guesthouse.
After breakfast, you will transfer to the Mont-Saint-Michel. You will spend a full-day in this outstanding cultural heritage, including a two-hour guided walking cultural tour of the site, and free time for resting. You will then have lunch in a traditional creperie. Afterwards, you will transfer to the parking by shuttle and to Dol-de-Bretagne by car then. Later on, you will have some time to rest. You will then have dinner and stay overnight in Le Chateau du Mont Guesthouse.
After breakfast, you will transfer to Paris by mono space car. End of the tour.
