You will be cooking, eating, drinking, and touring while also taking the time to do some yoga stretches. La Villa des Dentelles is a luxury guesthouse that is nestled in the Provence countryside, between woods, vineyards, and saffron culture. You will be amazed by its panoramic breathtaking view on the Dentelles de Montmirail mountains, especially during sunset.
This guesthouse offers five elegantly decorated guests rooms and suites in beige, grey, and white color schemes and each one has its private en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower. All rooms feature stylish vintage furniture, and one king-sized or two single beds. Modern amenities include minibar, safety lock, hairdryer, bathrobe, and free Wi-Fi connection. The guesthouse has a pool, and leaves a summer kitchen with a washing machine at the guests' disposal.
Your first class is run by Chef Marie in La Villa des Dentelles, offering a panoramic view on the Montmirail mountains. It's scheduled in the afternoon, leaving the morning for another activity or visit. Chef Marie is a self-educated cook who trained in Michelin-starred restaurants. Her recipes feature the healthy Provence and Mediterranean cuisine prepared with organic produce only. You will learn how to prepare and to cook a well-balanced three-course menu, followed by food tasting and wine pairing dinner.
Your second and third cooking programs are operated at the Luberon Cooking School nearby Gordes, and run by a Michelin-star chef, who was an instructor at the Paul Bocuse Culinary Institute.
The second program is a market cooking class. You will experience the market visit and shopping with the chef who will review the produce ranges and provide his tips to buy the freshest produce that you will cook afterwards. The market tour starts at 9:00 a.m. and it lasts about 45 minutes. It's followed by a hands-on class taught in English. The third program is a cooking class only.
These two classes last three hours and it's taught in English. You will learn how to prepare and to cook a four-course menu from scratch, as well as learn how to be well organized. The chef will teach you the chopping, cooking, and baking methods, as well as the plated presentation.
Menus include an amuse-bouche, an appetizer (starter), a main course (entree) with meat and/or fish, and a dessert. Tasting lunches accompanied by aperitif, wine, and coffee or tea follow each class.
In Beaumes-de-Venise's breathtaking environment, you are lulled by the sound of cicadas and the wind noise, inviting not only quiet walks, artistic creations, and cooking, but also relaxation and well-being.
You will have two yoga classes of 45 minutes each, focusing on breathing, awareness of your body's flexibility, and the awakening of senses. No yoga experience is required to join these classes. A full-body relaxing massage is scheduled on day two for one hour in the morning. It helps to eliminate your tiredness, especially after your long trip and jet-lag.
The authentic Provence covers a territory located north to Avignon at the border of the Drôme county. Here, local people welcome you as a guest and a friend, not as a tourist. Corinne Preteur will guide you through medieval villages nestled in the awesome sites of Montmirail mountains, Mont Ventoux, and the Luberon.
You will visit these tiny hilltop villages by walking. You will meet artists, artisans, and producers who offer “la crème de la crème", meaning the best food! The program also includes visits to a goat cheese farm, honeybee farm, and olive oil mill.
You will visit Vaison-la-Romaine, a millennial city featuring both Roman and medieval quarters, and enjoy its alive marketplace scheduled on Tuesdays which is one of the biggest in Provence. You will discover quaint Côtes du Rhône wine villages and Beaumes-de-Venise, including visits to wineries.
You will have an afternoon TGV transfer in Avignon to Beaumes de Venise. Then, you will check-in at the guesthouse with a welcome drink and snack. Take some resting time and a quiet walk in the village. There will be a visit to a goat cheese farm at the milking time. You will have an aperitif followed by a food and wine pairing dinner at the villa.
Start the day with some yoga stretches, followed by breakfast and a one-hour massage. After that, you will have lunch and an afternoon visit to a winery in Beaumes for one hour. Your first cooking class is at La Villa des Dentelles, starting at 4:30 p.m. followed by an aperitif and dinner accompanied by wine.
You will have breakfast and go for a visit to Vaison-la-Romaine (market, medieval village, and Roman site). Lunch will be in Vaison. You will then have an afternoon visit to an olive oil mill, followed by a yoga stretching class and resting time. Dinner will be in a traditional restaurant nearby.
After breakfast, you will transfer to the Gordes. There will be a market cooking class followed by a food and wine pairing tasting lunch. Then, there will be an afternoon walking tour in Menerbes and a visit to a honeybee farm. You will then be transferred to Beaumes and have a light dinner at the guesthouse.
After breakfast, transfer to the Gordes for your cooking class, followed by a tasting lunch. You will have an afternoon excursion through the wine route from Vacqueyras to Gigondas, Sablet, and Seguret. Dinner will be in a Michelin-star restaurant in Gigondas.
You will have breakfast and then check-out no later than 11:00 a.m. You will then be transferred to Avignon TGV station.
This cooking holiday will take place in Provence, France. You will stay in Beaumes-de-Venise, a charming Provence village which is reputed for its delicate Muscat naturally sweet wines, organic fruits orchards, vegetables gardens, and sweet life.

The history of Provence left an unparalleled heritage that you will enjoy through visits and excursions to Vaison La Romaine, Avignon, and numerous medieval hilltop villages where artists create their works of art.
