In this holiday, Lifestyle Vacations will give you the choice of two luxurious guest houses accommodation, each one in a different style, but all celebrating the French art de vivre. The two guest houses are Le Manoir de Livet and La Bihorée. Each house offers beautifully decorated bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and all modern amenities. Both houses have free internet access.

Join Corinne in her kitchen at La Duvalerie to experience the French and Normandy cuisine through hands-on classes taught in English. You will learn, you will cook, you will enjoy eating, and you will have a lot of fun! The cooking school is set in a beautifully restored farmhouse located in the Pays d'Auge, Calvados county, nearby Lisieux, Livarot, Cabourg, and Deauville.

Cooking with Corinne in Normandy holiday includes three cooking classes scheduled in the morning or in the afternoon. Within three hours, you will learn how to prepare and cook a three to four-course meal including appetizer, starter, main course, pastry, and dessert. One class will celebrate fish, the second one is meat (for example lamb), and the third one is poultry. Aperitif and tasting lunch and dinner accompanied by wine, cider, mineral water, coffee, or herbal tea will follow each class.

Aside from your cooking classes, you will visit producers who make delights such as milk jam, salty-buttered caramel candies, buttered biscuits and shortbreads, and much more. You will have the chance to meet local producers on the food markets and in the farms.

Sample menus can include walnuts and calvados flavored countryside paté, Livarot cheese choux pastry (fabulous for aperitif), chicken made-in-Normandy, rack of lamb topped with herbs crust, sole Normande, caramelized apple tarts, seasonal fruits clafoutis, and much more!


Day 1, Sunday - Welcome to Normandy!

You will be transferred from Lisieux rail station to the guesthouse. You will check-in and have some time to rest. Welcome aperitif and early dinner accompanied by wine or cider will be served at La Duvalerie.

Day 2, Monday - Market tour, cooking class, afternoon tour of Lisieux, and visit to the farms

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives for the market tour and shopping. You will visit La Ferme de Canon where they produce organic cider, apple juice, cider vinegar, and poiré aperitif.

You will also have a visit to La Ferme des Pâtis, an authentic cow milk farm producing creme fraiche, fromage blanc, making an exquisite milk jam and teurgoule baked rice pudding. Lunch will be in Lisieux. You will then have a cooking class followed by dinner.

Day 3, Tuesday - Cooking class, lunch and afternoon tour to Deauville and Cabourg seaside villages

On this day, after breakfast, you will join Corinne for a healthy one-hour walk through the Normandy countryside before heading to the kitchen. After your walk, you will have three hours morning cooking class starting at 10:00 a.m. followed by lunch. In the afternoon, you will have a walking tour and shopping opportunity in Deauville and Cabourg. Not only that, you will visit Graindorge where Camembert, Livarot, and Pont Leveque AOP cheese are made. Cheese and wine pairing dinner will be served at La Duvalerie.

Day 4, Wednesday - Full day excursion to Bayeux and D-Day sites

Today, after breakfast, you will transfer to the D-Day sites where you will visit Utah Beach, Colleville American cemetery, and Arromanches. Lunch will be at a crêperie. In the afternoon, you will visit Bayeux and its Tapestry museum. You will then have some free time in town after your afternoon excursion. Dinner will be at Le Pavé d'Auge, a Michelin-star restaurant in Beuvron.

Day 5, Thursday - Cooking class and Pays d'Auge quaint villages tour

Today, after breakfast, you will join Corinne in the kitchen. You will have three hours morning cooking class starting at 9:30 a.m. followed by lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy an excursion to the Pays d'Auge picturesque villages such as Cambremer, Blangy-le-Château, and Beuvron-en-Auge. Dinner will be at La Duvalerie.

Day 6, Friday - Transfer to Paris through Honfleur

On this day, you will start your day with a breakfast and you will check-out at 10:00 a.m. Then, you will have a private transfer by car or minibus to Paris through Honfleur. You will have a guided walking tour of the beautiful historical village.

After the tour, you will enjoy lunch at Michelin restaurant. In the afternoon, you will have a visit to Museum Eugene Boudin known as the impressionist painter. After your afternoon excursion, you will transfer to Paris where your tour will come to an end.

Included excursions

This cooking holiday combines cooking experiences and connections with local people and producers. It celebrates the Normandy history and heritage through cultural visits including D-Day sites, picturesque villages of the Pays d'Auge listed among the most beautiful ones in France, as well as chic sea resorts such as Deauville and Cabourg. You will also have the opportunity to visit Bayeux and Honfleur in this holiday.

Not only that, enjoy visits to local producers highlighting cider makers, jams artisans, cow milk cheese farm to learn the secrets of the Camembert and Livarot. You will visit Saint-Pierre-sur-Dives open-air market on Monday, and partake the food shopping! You will also enjoy traditional and gourmet lunches and dinners in traditional and Michelin-star restaurants.


Corinne Preteur
Corinne is a self-trained cook. Starting to cook since in her young age with her mother before learning methods with chefs and improving her skills with Michelin-star chefs in France and abroad. As a member of the French Library in Boston she has the chance to meet Julia Child. She also created food and wine festivals celebrating the French cuisine in Boston. Corinne has been running cooking and baking classes in France for 15 years.


This cooking holiday will take place in Normandy, France. Normandy is not only well known for its dairy produce - delicious butter and whole creams, flavorful cow milk cheeses such as Camembert, Pont Levêque, and Livarot but also for its cider, Calvados brandy, exquisite desserts, good meat, and delicate fish. The rural Normandy areas welcome numerous artisans who keep the traditions alive.


All breakfasts, lunches, and dinners are included in the price. You will also dine twice at Michelin-star restaurants during in this holiday. You will have exquisite daily breakfasts which include tea or coffee, freshly baked cakes, crepes or waffles, butter and jam, baguette, cereals, milk, yogurt, fresh fruits, juices, and much more.

Arrival by train

Please arrange your train to arrive at Lisieux train station. There are direct trains to Lisieux from Saint-Lazare station in Paris.
