You will be staying at a three-star boutique hotel. The charming boutique hotel is located nearby Gordes quaint hilltop village in the Luberon, and 10 minutes distance to the cooking school. The boutique hotel has 13 spacious rooms and suites housed in a beautifully renovated 18th-century farm.

This three-star intimate hotel offers you an oasis of greenery and tranquillity. Rooms are decorated in pastel colors, antiques, and furnished with queen-size or single beds. Each room has its own private en-suite bathroom with a shower.


This program includes two hands-on cooking classes taught in English. You will get all the recipes in English. Lifestyle Vacations provide aprons during your lesson. Casual clothes such as tee-shirt, jeans, and comfortable flat shoes are recommended in the school.

Classes will be operated in the Luberon Cooking School which is run by a Michelin-star Chef. Each class features a different four-course menu including an amuse-bouche, an appetizer (starter), the main course (entree) with meat or fish, and a dessert. Along with your four-hour class, you will also learn how to prepare and cook a French-style menu from scratch.

You will learn chopping, cooking, and baking methods, as well as the plated presentation. Tasting lunch accompanied by an aperitif, wine, and coffee or tea follows each class.


Day 1, Saturday: Welcome to Provence!

Upon arrival at Avignon TGV train station, you will transfer to Gordes through Chateauneuf-du-Pape by private car or van. Then, you will visit Châteauneuf hilltop village where you get a panoramic view over the Rhône Valley. During your visit, you will learn more about Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines from the vineyards.

You will also visit a renowned winery which will be followed by a lunch. Then, you will check-in at La Bastide boutique-hotel and rest before your welcome dinner at the hotel.

Day 2, Sunday: Market cooking class, lunch, afternoon visit to a honeybee farm and dinner at the hotel

Today, you will start your day with a breakfast. After breakfast, you will transfer to Luberon Cooking School. From 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., you will have a market tour with the chef for one hour. At the market, you will meet producers and smile local people while learning how to choose the best produce to be prepared and cooked afterward.

After the market tour, you will return to the school, enjoy a coffee, and start partaking a four-hour cooking class celebrating the Provence cuisine. Aperitif and gourmet tasting lunch accompanied by wine will follow after the class.

After your cooking lesson, you will transfer to Bonnieux where you will meet Julie and Stephane, the honey producers. You will see how the bees work and how hives are organized. You will learn about the beekeeper's work, from the honey collection to the extraction, filtering, maturation. and packaging. Light dinner will be served at the hotel.

Day 3, Monday: Cooking class followed by lunch, afternoon visit to the olive oil mill, and dinner at the hotel.

On this day, after breakfast, you will transfer to the Luberon Cooking School. Your four-hour cooking class will start at 9:45 a.m. You will learn how to prepare and to cook a traditional gourmet meal including an amuse-bouche, starter, main course, and dessert. Aperitif and tasting lunch accompanied by wine, coffee, or tea will follow after the class.

In the afternoon, you will visit the olive oil mill, followed by tastings. Dinner will be at the hotel.

Day 4, Tuesday

After breakfast, you will check-out and be transferred to Avignon TGV train station transfer. The transfer will be no later than 11:00 a.m. This will mark the end of your holiday.

Included excursions

In this holiday you will visit perched villages by walking, as well as local producers such as a goat cheese farm, a winery, bee farm, and a saffron producer. All visits will be guided in English.


Corinne Preteur
Corinne is a self-trained cook. Starting to cook since in her young age with her mother before learning methods with chefs and improving her skills with Michelin-star chefs in France and abroad. As a member of the French Library in Boston she has the chance to meet Julia Child. She also created food and wine festivals celebrating the French cuisine in Boston. Corinne has been running cooking and baking classes in France for 15 years.


Provence is situated in South of France. It is a region of exceptional beauty with its the quaint perched villages, lavender fields, vineyards, and magnificent coasts. In this holiday, you will not only get to enjoy its colorful markets and healthy food but also to smell its fresh air that has been delicately perfumed by wild herbs and flowers.

How to get there

Arrival by train

Please arrange your train to arrive at Avignon TGV train station. Transfer from and to the train station is included. Lifestyle Vacations will pick you up from the train station.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 60 days before arrival.
