During this culinary holiday of Tuscany, you will be provided with 7 nights accommodation at a 4-star hotel, located at the historic city center of Florence. You will comfortable rest in Superior rooms, with Arno River views.


Day 1 - Arrival to Florence Airport, Peretola (FLR)

Pick up with luxury transport and English speaking driver, who will transfer to your beautiful 4-star hotel, in the historic city center of Florence, with Arno River views. Check in superior rooms, with breakfast included. Book dinner in a great local restaurant, walking distance from your hotel (meal not included, to be paid onsite).

Day 2 - Cooking class at Mama Florence and getting-to-know Florence walking tour

A fantastic hands-on cooking class in the beautiful kitchen of Mama Florence. You will be joined with other participants that are also learning about Italian cooking, which makes a fun and convivial environment. Your English speaking chef will take you through a full menu, sometimes with a special theme, using local seasonal ingredients. After you wonderful lesson, a delicious lunch of prepared dishes will be served along with great wine, water, and coffee.

Please note that the venue has both air conditioning and heating, so the temperature is always very comfortable for class participants. In the afternoon, you will meet your English speaking art history guide in an easy to reach location, for a getting-to-know Florence tour. She can give you interesting ideas of things to see, places to eat out, and introduce you to this magnificent city. Your tour will end with a skip-the-lines booking at the Accademia Museum, to see the David with your guide. Tour duration: 3 hours.

Day 3 - Florence market, gourmet walk, and Uffizi day

Meet up in the morning with your English speaking guide for a tour of one of Florences bustling outdoor or indoor food markets (tour duration: 3 hours). Learn about local Tuscan foods, such as produce, vinegars, olive oil, cheeses, meats, and much more. Visit several gourmet food shops or cafs to learn more. Your guide will leave you at a great local restaurant for lunch. After lunch, you will have a skip-the-lines booking at the Uffizi Museum, where you can enjoy the most amazing art that Florence has to offer, at your own pace.

Day 4 - Chianti wine tour

You will be picked up in the morning by a fun and friendly English speaking driver with luxury transport. Head out into the beautiful Chianti countryside, where your first stop will be a beautiful Chianti castle, to have an informative and interesting wine tour in the historic cellars. Learn about Chianti wine production and this historic estate. Then, have a tasting of their top rated Chianti wines.

Next up is a booking at either a Michelin star or more casual but delicious local restaurant (please let Le Baccanti know what you prefer), where you can enjoy lunch before a stroll in a charming Chianti village, such as Greve in Chianti or Castellina, in Chianti. In the afternoon, visit a second Chianti winery, where you will taste their unique wines and have chance to contrast winemaking techniques. In the late afternoon, your driver will return you to your hotel in Florence. Tour duration: 8 hours.

Day 5 - Cooking Class Mama Florence and Tuscan wine class with wine expert

Enjoy your second cooking class at Mama Florence in the morning, with a wonderful English speaking chef and a different theme than your previous class. Perhaps, this time you will focus on seasonal dishes, meats or seafood, or vegetarian Florentine cuisine. After, you will enjoy another incredible lunch of prepared dishes, along with wine, food, and coffee.

After a break, you will continue learning about local wines with a 2-hour class focused on Super Tuscan or Brunello wines, with a wonderful English speaking wine expert. During your class you will sample 6 different wines and learn the basics of wine tasting, taking your wine knowledge to the next level (please let Le Baccanti know your wine level at time of booking, Le Baccanti can gear the class to any level).

Day 6 - San Gimignano, Saffron farm lunch, and Vernaccia white wine tour

Your day begins when your English speaking driver comes to collect you at your hotel in the morning. Your first stop is the stunning town of San Gimignano and its impressive towers. You will have time to stroll in the town, visit the churches and museums, and shop on the main street before meeting back up with your driver, to transfer out to the countryside surrounding San Gimignano.

You will then enjoy a wonderful lunch on the patio of a nearby agriturismo farm that produces saffron, olive oil, and herbs. Delicious lunch of large appetizer, pasta dish, dessert, local Chianti or Vernaccia wine, water, and espresso to finish. At least one dish will be made with the famed saffron produced on the farm, which is worth more than its weight in gold. After your lunch, your driver will take you to an organic Vernaccia winery, where you will have a visit of the property and tasting of their top rated Vernaccia wines. Your driver will return you safely to your hotel in Florence in the late afternoon. Tour duration: 8 hours.

Day 7 - Farewell cooking class and free afternoon for shopping

Cooking class at Mama Florence as previously described in this culinary package. You will have your third culinary class at Mama and the chance to learn more of the best recipes in Florence; with your English speaking chef, of course, the theme and dishes prepared will vary. Farewell lunch at Mama, prepared dishes and local wine, water, and coffee. In the afternoon, you will have free time to shop in Florence and enjoy your last evening in this magical city.

Day 8 - Departure

Pick up in the morning with English speaking driver and luxury transport at your hotel. Transfer to Florence Airport, Peretola (FLR), for departure. If you will continue your travels, Le Baccanti is happy to transfer you to Florence train station instead.
