You can be accommodated in double rooms, or triple rooms, all with bathrooms. One of the rooms is very special; it is build in a tree and has a beautiful story to it, click here to read it. The rooms are furnished in a rustic style, simple, and practical. There are many activities that can be done on the farm: watching the animals, playing ping pong, taking cooking and painting courses, archery, using a telescope, participating in the preparation of soap and dye, and many more things. Laperegina also offers guests the possibility to canoe on one of the cleanest rivers in Italy, and flights over the three parks of the Abruzzo region.
Marino is able to give you advice on the most beautiful routes of the region. In collaboration with nearby farms, Laperegina makes it possible for guests to visit an equestrian centre, ride bicycles, visit an airport for small aeroplanes, and even play tennis. Laperegina has plenty of guest carparking and offers hospitality in the seasons of Spring, Summer and Autumn. Laperegina is an organic tourist farm situated in the green center of the three Abruzzi national parks. The main building is an old shepherds house with a stable, which has been restored. The main activity is bee keeping, and the surrounding area is occupied by various farm animals, such as pigs, sheep and poultry.
The gardens are used mainly for the cultivation of vegetables, and include a small area for the cultivation of medicinal herbs. The orchard has an abundance of cherries, prunes, apples, figs, and walnuts used in the making of their own jams and liquors. You will be warmly welcomed with genuine hospitality and friendliness. You are free to explore every part of the farm. The meals are shared together with the hosts.
Traditional home cooking will highlight the rural traditions and the richness of the gastronomy of the region: bread and homemade pasta, pizza, barbecued steak, and dressed pork products. Special dishes created by Marino and Elide as Ngiulina, Iolanda, ChrisCake and so on. Being Marino wine and oil taster, all meals are accompanied by wines personally selected by him. You are invited to be involved in the preparation of jams, sauces and liquors, from mulberries, blackberries, currants, quince, sour cherries, grapes, rose hip, walnuts, ratafia and more. Pork is cured on site in the preparation of ham (prosciutto), salami, bacon and sausages.
Abruzzo is a largely undiscovered area which has remained unspoiled. Within this natural environment one finds small villages and old towns, rich in history, culture, tradition and handcraft. It's beauty offers endless opportunities for walking and touring, which has been preserved thanks to the presence of the three national parks and more than thirty natural reserves.
