Laperegina also offers guests the possibility to canoe on one of the cleanest rivers in Italy, and flights over the three parks of the Abruzzo region.

The main activity is bee keeping, and the surrounding area is occupied by various farm animals, such as pigs, sheep and poultry.

The gardens are used mainly for the cultivation of vegetables, and include a small area for the cultivation of medicinal herbs. The orchard has an abundance of cherries, prunes, apples, figs, and walnuts used in the making of their own jams and liquors. You will be warmly welcomed with genuine hospitality and friendliness. You are free to explore every part of the farm. The meals are shared together with the hosts.

Traditional home cooking will highlight the rural traditions and the richness of the gastronomy of the region: bread and homemade pasta, pizza, barbecued steak, and dressed pork products. Special dishes created by Marino and Elide as Ngiulina, Iolanda, ChrisCake and so on. Being Marino wine and oil taster, all meals are accompanied by wines personally selected by him. You are invited to be involved in the preparation of jams, sauces and liquors, from mulberries, blackberries, currants, quince, sour cherries, grapes, rose hip, walnuts, ratafia and more. "Dear Marino, we left a week ago, but the nostalgia for Ape Regina quickly arrived. We had a great time and we will come back for sure. Greetings to you and Elide, for taking us into your care Daniele, Giovanna, Federico and little Valerio… or you uncovered the poet in you, like has happened to… The enchantment of life."

"While spending a few days in the Pescara area my friends and I found out about a one day cooking class at L'Aperegina from our walking tour guide, Anna, who has the website "Abruzzo with gusto!" We had a fantastic time with our hosts, Marino and Elide. They were fun, knowledgeable, and very gracious. We prepared a simple meal of pasta with a sauce made using ingredients from their garden (sheep, garlic, tomato, etc.). We also sampled some excellent homemade salami and prosciutto. I highly recommend visiting this place for a day class, or for a week long adventure!"

"This place offers so much. Beautiful, magical nature, the mountains provide constant changes of light and cloud. The owners, Marino and Eilde are so helpful and eager to share their special place with you. Everything you eat has been produced on the farm or locally. Fruit and nut trees, herbs, vegetables, pigs, ducks and hens are kept and of course their famous bees. Communal meals with lively conversation and homemade liquor are another bonus. Can't wait to return."

"Agriturismo L`Aperegina is very special place which you can`t see just everywhere. I totally recommend to visit this wonderful and magic corner of the region Abruzzo, because first of all, Marino and Elide are nice and friendly people and make you feel as at home and as the part of family immediately, the place is full of positive energy and you can enjoy amazing nature still not overcrowded by tourists. I can write much more, but there is not enough words to describe how gorgeous is this place. Just visit it and live it!!!"

"I stayed here for two weeks and had a fantastic experience. L'aperegina is absolutely stunning and aside from the gorgeous aesthetics, you won't find anywhere else with the same warmth and hospitality that Marino and Elide provide. This place has communal breakfast and dinner--delicious meals with local ingredients--that give you the opportunity to get to know your hosts and fellow guests. It's also surrounded by a rich countryside with plenty of things to do. If you're looking for a break from a hectic home/work life, this is the place to be. I will definitely be going back!"
