Join this retreat specially designed for you to learn about your personal relationship with eating and food. Discover mindful eating and the root of food issues like weight problems and anorexia, through the study of important aspect of food habits. Discover if you are eating in response to other triggers like appetizing food, boredom, loneliness, or stress, or if food is meeting other needs for you as you learn healthy food habits for your daily life.
During this retreat, you will stay either in a shared or a private room. Mandala House has private single rooms, twin rooms, and triple rooms. You can either book a room privately for yourself, share a private room with a friend or two, or share a room with others on the same retreat. Single rooms available for all retreats and the rooms can also be shared with other attendees.
During this retreat, Deirdre Kavanagh will help you to explore a mindful approach to eating. You will learn to listen to your body and heart and to respond to them in a nourishing way. This retreat is designed for those wishing to explore their relationship to food, for those who wish to develop a healthier eating behavior, and for those wishing to expand and deepen their mindfulness practice.
The Power yoga class is designed for beginners but it will also be enjoyed by people with some experience. The class itself is a yoga mini work-out. Atma Power yoga helps to stretch and tone muscles, improves posture and balance, and it's really fun. The exercises are fairly doable by the majority of people, but if you can't quite stretch into certain asanas, there is an easy-going mood.
Everyone is encouraged to practice only according to their own ability. Yoga mats will be provided, so if you've never done even ten seconds of yoga in your life and have no equipment or anything, all you need is yourself, some light clothes, and a little enthusiasm. Atma Power yoga is practiced with a breathing count from start to finish, which adds a dynamic aspect to the class. Each class ends with a gentle relaxation sequence.
One excursion around Inis Rath Island to visit the temple and one forest walk at Killeshandra forest park are included in this retreat.
This retreat will be held at Mandala House near the shores of Upper Lough Erne, Ireland. Mandala House is located 400 meters across the water from Inish Rath Island. The Lakeland area is a peaceful sanctuary where you can enrich your body, mind, and soul. Peacock strut openly around the island, while in the local area heron, swan, and deer wander freely in the peaceful lakeside atmosphere.
During this retreat, you will be served three daily healthy meals. You will also have the opportunity to take a cooking class with Carmen. All food is vegetarian and extremely tasty, cooked with love by vegan chef Carmen. Meals are prepared fresh on the day. Vegans can note that most meals are vegan-friendly. The food is a combination of Indian vegetarian such as samosas, curries, basmati rice, and also Western vegetarian dishes such as pizza, salads, pasta, and soups.

Enniskillen and Cavan are 25 kilometers away, but you can get closer to the retreat center with the national coach services of the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
From the airport you will have to take the bus with (Donegal) as its end destination.
From Dublin, you may take the Donegal line from the main (and only) coach station in Dublin city center (Busárus). You may ask for a ticket to Belturbet. The journey takes about two hours and 20 minutes. And from Belturbet, you will need a taxi to go to Inish Rath Island.
Large towns close to Inish Rath Island are Enniskillen and Cavan town. A taxi from Cavan will cost around 35 EUR and a taxi from Enniskillen will cost approximately 30 GBP.
Benny Corby, with his family and friends, are the cheerful local taxi service. If you arrive on the Bus Eireann coach at Belturbet, the car journey to Lake Isle Retreats, Mandala House near Inish Rath Island costs about 15 EUR. Lake Isle Retreats suggests that it's better for you to phone that morning to make a provisional booking.
Almost two hours after leaving Dublin, the coach stops in Cavan town for a five to 10 minutes break. From the moment this bus departs again you should phone Benny and tell him where you are. He will then know you will be arriving in Belturbet 15 minutes later.
