With beautiful rolling hills, lush green as far as the eye can see and many lakes, the Hill Country isn't the Texas you might have imagined. Lake Austin Spa Resort is nestled on 19 lakefront acres in Central Texas' legendary Hill Country and is located just 35 minutes from downtown Austin.
Lake Austin is one of seven Highland Lakes on the Colorado River. The lake was formed when the Tom Miller dam was built in 1939, creating one of the most scenic spots in all of Austin. Not only does one of the city’s most iconic landmarks, the Pennybacker Bridge, span the reservoir, but some of the area’s most beautiful and expensive homes line the hilly shoreline. The near constant-level lake is one of the best fishing spots in the state with large populations of largemouth bass, catfish and sunfish, which can be easy to spot in the clear water.
Whether you choose to dine with other guests at the friendship table or spend some time savoring each bite alone, there are several delicious dining options for you to choose from. The gourmet cuisine is a blend of fresh ingredients, bold flavors, all while being mindful of wellness and giving guests food that nourishes the body.
The healthy cuisine at Lake Austin Spa Resort gets many reviews from guests and the media alike. The five-course dinner options come complete with a gourmet dessert.
