La Terre dOr includes a bed and breakfast of 5 charming guestrooms and 2 self-catering cottages. We are small and we wont grow bigger, so we ensure we can take our time to greet and talk to our guests. We welcome couples, families, and small groups of friends who can privatize part of, or all of the place.

Every room is carefully fitted out and decorated with a taste for the simple, natural, and warm things and Nathalie makes sure that everything is comfortable and very clean. Michel can fix and renovate anything, from wood (his favorite) to electricity and plumbing. In your room, in the garden, and in the cave, you will be amazed by the sculptures of Jurga, Vincents wife so meaningful and filled of humanity. You can even expect them to move and start talking anytime.


Day 1 - Arrival

  • From 16:00 to 19:00
  • Welcome to La Terre dOr. Make yourself comfortable in your room.
  • Have a Burgundy drink, visit the grotto and start speaking about wines.
  • For dinner, you will get suggestions of a restaurant according to your taste.

Day 2 - Cte de Beaune vineyard tour

  • Breakfast from 08:00 to 10:00.
  • 10:00 departure to Pommard, Volnay, and Meursault, all prestigious villages of Cte de Beaune with vineyard maps and explanations in the vineyards.
  • Talks about grape varieties, terroir.
  • 11:00, wine-tasting at Chteau de Chassagne-Montrachet and visit of the 11th and 14th century cellars, talk about oak barrels.
  • 12.30 casual lunch at a local restaurant, Estaminet.
  • 14:00 visit of Chteau de la Rochept, an impressive defensive castle.
  • 15:30 walk in Orches with great views from the top of the cliffs and tasting at a lovely winemaker.
  • 17:00 return to La Terre dOr to enjoy the swimming pool or jacuzzi.

Day 3 - Cte de Nuits vineyard tour

  • 08:00 to 10:00 breakfast.
  • 10:00 departure to the lovely villages along the Grands Crus wine road.
  • 11:00 visit the most prestigious vineyards: Romane Conti, La Tche, Grands Echezeaux, with vineyard maps and explanations.
  • 11:30 visit of Chteau du Clos de Vougeot, so important for wine and Burgundy: the monks of Cteaux.
  • 12:30 casual lunch at a local restaurant: Relais du Grespissot.
  • 14:00 truffle tasting or/and jam tasting at local producers.
  • 15:00 wine-tasting at Domaine Jacob with Christine or Chantal.
  • 16:00 wine-tasting at Domaine Debray.
  • 17:00 return to la Terre dOr swimming pool or jacuzzi.

Day 4 - Departure

  • 08:00 to 11:30 breakfast and departure.

La Terre dOr is ideally situated on the hill of Beaune, along a charming little road through the vineyards. Surrounded by a privileged natural environment, above vineyards and at the edge of pines forest, with unforgettable views, from the gardens and terrace, over the old town of Beaune: Htel-Dieu, church Notre-Dame, ramparts, and much more. Sometimes, you may be lucky to enjoy the great views over the Alps and Mont Blanc, 200 kilometers on the horizon.

Dinner is on your own, nevertheless we can suggest you restaurants according to your preferences.

Things to do (optional)

Walk the organic garden: Walk in the organic garden and you will discover wild orchids, lavenders or butterfly bushes patiently selected, developed, and assembled by Christine. On your own, you will discover, from the prairie behind up to the pine forest above the hill, a surprising variety of flowers and wild butterflies.

Visit the grotto, a real cave: Used in the middle ages and enlarged a few times in the last 20 years, the grotto is the result of a family work and a very special place. You will be taken there for a unique visit to discover the secrets of the Burgundy wines. Take advantage of an incredible and surprising moment of relaxation in the spa of the cave. You will find yourself in an atmosphere that is rather unique.

Spa treatments

You will experience full relaxation and peace with an impression of eternity. Access to the cave and the spa is free, limited to the guests staying at la Terre dor for at least 2 nights, or more. A tour of the grotto can be given and a spa (bathtub) can be booked for you, as you enjoy a glass of Burgundy wine in the spa.

How to get there

Driving directions from:

North, Paris

  • Arriving from the north (Paris) via the AutoRoute A6: take exit 24 for Beaune, Saint Nicolas

South, Lyon

  • Arriving from the south via the AutoRoute A6: take exit 24-1 for Beaune
  • Take the direction Beaune-center ville
  • Once in Beaune, follow the ring-road which circles the center of the old town.
  • Exit the ring-road following signs for: Auxerre/Bligny sur ouche / Bouze-les-Beaune on the D970
  • 1.9 kilometer later, take your first right, direction Montagne de Beaune
  • Follow the sign Terre dOr or the map enlargement


If arriving with GPS Write Chemin des Cras, 21200 Beaune. When you are there, continue driving up the road Chemin des Vaches up to La Terre dOr car park, almost at the top of the hill.
