Come and join La Maison Blanche dc for this amazing cooking and wine vacation in the Loire Valley, France. Stay in the 19th century manor house which is located in Saumur, the jewel of the Loire Valley. You will get enough time to relax by the pool with a glass of wine and a snack. You can walk to a cafe or restaurant, visit the many shops in the town, walk along the Thouet River, or walk to the beautiful churches and the Chateau of Saumur.
During this holiday, you will be staying at La Maison Blanche dc. The property consists of four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, plus a guest house. The property opens by an automatic gate into a garden of white flowers, herbs and vegetables, a heated infinity pool, barbecue, outdoor shower, waterfall, terraces, and outdoor gym equipment.
The RDC consists of a breakfast area, a large kitchen with a professional la Canche cuisiniere, two dishwashers, two clothes washers, two clothes dryers, a side by side refrigerator, freezer, or bio fresh and American appliances, a powder room, and a reading area with a fireplace.
The first floor consists of a salon, two large seating areas, a glass tiled floor, and an Erard 1900 baby grand piano, master bedroom with a king size bed, walk-in closets, seating area, and a flat-screen television. The master bath has a claw foot tub, shower, and a fireplace.
The right wing consists of master suite with a flat screen television, DVD, seating area, games, toys, and a full bath. The left wing consists of two guest rooms with king size beds, one with a flat-screen television, computer, printer, fax, full cable and internet access, a fully equipped gym with a television and guest bath
There are 13 ceiling fans throughout the house, air conditioning in the bedrooms, an alarm system, a safe, indoor or outdoor music system, CNN, five televisions, cordless telephones, and high chair.
The house consists of a daybed, small kitchen, eating area, and a loft with a queen size bed, bath, flat screen television, cordless telephones, air conditioner, and music system.
Romuald is an exceptional traditional chef specializing in vegetable dishes. He is a maître restaurateur graduating from Le Collège Culinaire de France. In 2006, with his wife, Romuald started the restaurant L'Escargot which has since then been awarded Bib Gourmand by the Michelin Guide. He is passionate in their culinary heritage and would love to share this with other people.
Olivier enjoys cooking with vegetables because he feels there is so much imagination working with vegetables. He is passionate about local wines. He prepares a snack with the wine tasting of 4-5 different wines, explains the principal of tasting, answers all your questions, and gives the summary of all wines tasted.
Eric has had a very successful career as the chef of the Abbaye de Fontevraud. He continues to cater for clients of Butterfield&Ribinson bike tours. He teaches cooking to the students of the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) in NYC twice a year in his location in the Loire. He is the executive chef of his restaurant L'Oree des Bois (it is located next to a forest), a very successful and sought after restaurant in the countryside.
Erik plans his menus for foodies. His teaching menu of two hours is either starter and main course or main course and dessert. He adds dishes prepared by him before the class with pairing local wines - to the dishes prepared by the students and everyone enjoys the meal together. The atmosphere is one of participation and festivity. The evening begins at 7 p.m. and ends 11 p.m. Erik is a member of the Academie Culinaire de France and the Societe des Cuisiniers de France.
