Everyone at La Casella was incredibly warm and friendly. You really feel welcomed into the family, eating lunch with members of staff and chatting with them throughout the day. They go out of their way to make your stay relaxing and interesting. The cookery lessons with Edmond were amazing, seeking herbs and plants with Katia was fab and Isaia was a wonderful tour guide. You can do as much or as little as you want at La Casella. Meeting other like-minded travellers was an unexpected bonus and, as a single traveller, it was particularly great to have dinner, or share tours, with people who feel like friends by the end of the week. I would highly recommend this trip if you want a delicious, laid-back week in a really beautiful setting.

I could not have been more pleased by my stay at La Casella. From the beginning of my venture, Audrey assisted me in all of my queries and created an itinerary which personalised all of my needs. When I arrived at the estate I was amazed by the beautiful countryside and facilities available. The staff could not have been friendlier and the food was absolutely delicious. I enjoyed all of my day tours and attained a real understanding of the Italian culture. My cooking sessions with chef Edmond were brilliant! He is a fantastic chef and I’ve learnt many interesting techniques and recipes. My only regret was that i wasn’t there for longer (although I did extend one day). As I was travelling alone, I was concerned that I may be lonely, but Stephania, the owner of La Casella, made me feel welcomed and a part of her own family. Every night the meals were located outside amongst the stars where Chef Edmond created the most indulging 5 course meals. I took full advantage of the yoga studio, completing my own daily practice, and also enjoyed some down time by the main pool of La Casella. I throughly enjoyed my journey and I will definitely be returning in the future. I highly recommend the 8 day culinary course in Umbria La Casella to anyone who is considering going! I’m sure you will have as fantastic an experience as I did!
