Peri, the host was very friendly and accommodating to our schedules during arrival and departures times. The food was very delicious and healthy. Wine and chocolate pairings with dinner were very good.
Richard, the yoga instructor, was very knowledgeable and the yoga sessions focused on both meditative aspects as well as perfecting the poses. He tailored the yoga sessions to our levels. He was also very friendly and shared with us his stories as a yoga instructor and benefits of yoga practice.

Firstly, the yoga teacher, Richard is a seasoned teacher with wide background in different styles. He was able to tailor the class to different levels in the class quite effectively with something for everyone, and able to effectively meld different hatha yoga styles (elements of shadow, partner, and others) effectively with introductory dose of pranayama and meditation.
Accommodations much better than you would expect at a normal yoga retreat. It is really a large, tastefully decorated house in a bucolic setting. Food was simple, fresh, organic, tasty, and healthy. The small coterie of farm animals with personalities complemented the experience. Overall a relaxing and rejuvenating weekend at a great location. Interesting and great dinner table conversations with Richard and fellow yogis. I would highly recommend for small groups.
