Italian Food and Flavours has secured exclusive use of one of the most historic houses in Cossignano as the base for your Italy tours. The 17th century house built into the town walls is the blue plaque home of historian and town chronicler Nicola Pansoni. Sensitive restoration has preserved many of the original architectural features.
Set in the Centro Storico (historic center) the house is just seconds from the restaurant Castello de Marte, where you will enjoy most of your meals. The house is the ideal base for taking in the atmosphere, relaxing between cooking sessions, and exploring the refined charm of the delightfully historic Italian hill town of Cossignano. During the week you will have time to enjoy the facilities of a nearby villa set within the Italian countryside and with beautiful gardens and pool.

There are numerous archeological sites, in the area as well, that show Cossignano was a flourishing centre of the Picena civilization in the era before it became part of the Roman Empire. Cossignano was originally called Castellum Martisa and your Food and Flavours holiday is based in the Trattoria Castello de Marte (the castle of Mars) which is named after it.
