You will be accommodated in a double room in a building within Troy village.

Your journey will start in the ancient town of Troy. Autumn in this part of Puglia is really special, as it is the perfect season to discover saffron, called the most precious flower in the world. You will experience the process of buffing, drying, and conserving the precious spice.

During this culinary holiday, you will have a chance to try the delicious creations of a chef, who will use the saffron in a variety of dishes that go from appetizers to desserts. Also, you will be involved in a workshop where you will learn about the production of bread with ancient origins and use a special oven, which will be lit for the occasion.

There will be a visit to the village of Troy, which will provide a path to discover the beauty and historical architecture of the city. Walking through the streets of Troy will be like going back in its ancient past and the tour will come to a sweet ending with tasting of Passionata.

  • Depart for a practical workshop in Orsara di Puglia, where you will use a straw oven

  • Return to Troy in the afternoon to spend the night

Day 3 - Sunday, October 29

  • Transfer to Deliceto, where saffron is grown
  • Visit to a saffron farm
  • Follow the flower's buffing, drying, and storage processes
  • Lunch at Ballaro Restaurant, where the chef will transform saffron into a full lunch
