Join this Hanoi - Halong Bay culinary vacation with Insight Asia Travel to experience the best Vietnam has to offer without worry. During this 5-day tour, you will discover Hanoi's street food paradise and its cultural attractions and cruise on the otherworldly Halong Bay. Taste the best of both worlds!
Warm welcome upon your arrival in Hanoi. Your guide will meet you at the airport for a transfer to your hotel located in downtown. After check-in, you have free time to relax.
In the late afternoon, the tour begins with an introduction to the local food scene over a hearty bowl of pho; noodle soup, the quintessential Hanoi street food. Then it is off to a bustling local market where your chef will demystify the local produce, and encourage you to taste some of its most exotic ingredients. Further five venues are included in the tour and all travel between venus is by taxi or on foot. The tour lasts for 4 hours and finishes with a typical Vietnamese caphe, or che (Vietnamese tea) and local sweets.
This half-day tour offers you Hanoi’s most interesting sights, including the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, House-on-Stilts and the One Pillar Pagoda followed by Quan Thanh Temple and Tran Quoc pagoda, the oldest pagoda originally constructed in the sixth century. In the afternoon, you will take part in a cooking class.
In the morning, you leave Hanoi for Halong Bay via the Red River Delta. Enjoy a welcome drink onboard then start cruising through the Bay while lunch is served. Stop to visit and explore a fishing floating village by bamboo boat or you can have a kayak around this area. Time to relax, sunbath or swimming on the beach. Back to the cruise to enjoy the sunset cocktail while the boat is cruising area docking for overnight.
The second day will start with an early delicious breakfast served at 7:00 a.m. while cruising back to the Ha Long Bay. On the way back, there will be a visit to the Sung Sot cave at 8:00 a.m. However, if you do not desire to visit the cave, you may visit the Titop island. You will be back on the cruise at 9:15 a.m. and you may take some time to refresh and relax while cruising through the waters and check-out later on.
During the final hours, there will also be a Vietnamese cooking class for you to join in at 10:30 a.m. followed by an early lunch at 11:00 a.m. Once arriving at the pier at 12:00 p.m. it will be time to say goodbye to the crew. At 12:45 p.m. you will return from Halong and arrive in Hanoi around 5:00 p.m.
You will have free time with your own activities until a driver picks you up to the airport for your departure flight back home. Ends of service.

Hanoi still retains a small-town provincial charm and unique intermingle with a French legacy wide, tree-lined boulevards, parks, grand villas, and artistic café society.
A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Halong Bay boasts a magnificent scenery of over 3,000 limestone islands jutting out of emerald green waters in the Gulf of Tonkin. The best way to explore and appreciate this vast area is by organized boat tours either cruise boats or traditional junk style boats, sleeping on board for one or several nights.
During the tour, you will be served breakfast every day. Two lunches and three dinners will also be provided. The food served would be local delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Please note vegetarian food can be served, just let Insight Asia Travels know at the time of booking.
