For this cooking tour, you will have the option of staying in either 3-star and 4-star hotels or choose to stay in luxury 5-star hotels. You will be spending your first two nights in Lima, head to Paracas by tourist bus, go back to to Lima on day five, fly to Arequipa for 2 nights afterwards fly to Cusco and Machu Picchu before returning to Lima.

Private airport greeting and transportation to your Miraflores hotel.
Your guide will meet you in your hotel lobby and in your private car take you to visit the colonial city of Lima and the cathedral, the Gold Museum, the Catacombs of San Francisco, and the Huaca Pucllana ceremonial center. Enjoy lunch in one of Lima’s best restaurants to taste the different Peruvian dishes and learn a little more about them. At night visit a local delicious traditional anticucho.
At 4pm you will be greeted in your hotel and transferred to your cooking class. Visit the market to buy fresh seasonal produce. Prepare an appetizer (eg, Limeña cauza), entré (ceviche or lomo saltado), dessert (eg. arroz con leche), and drink (Pisco Sour).
Private transfer and flight to the White City of Arequipa. Private airport greeting and transfer to your centrally located hotel. Take a private Arequipa walking tour also to visit the convent of Santa Catalina and the museum of the Mummy Juanita.
In the morning, visit the central market to buy ingredients to prepare today’s lunch and learn of the culinary secrets and techniques of the area and region. Please note, if you wish to visit the Colca Canyon and Lake Titicaca in Puno add three extra days to the tour!
Private transfer to Arequipa airport for the short flight to the colonial Imperial City of Cusco. Private transfer to your Cusco hotel. Rest, breathe, and acclimate to Cusco’s 11,000-feet. Drink the complimentary coca tea provided by your hotel, eat lightly, breathe, rest.
As always, the chef is ready and pleased to teach you the Cusco Novo Andean cuisine. Visit one of the traditional markets to find a wide variety of local and regional produce including many potatoes (there are more than 3000 varieties) to prepare your late lunch. In the afternoon, you will start the Cusco city tour visiting the great construction of Sacsayhuaman, Kenko, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay and the temple of Koricancha.
After breakfast, ride north from Cusco with your guide and driver to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Glaciers rise high above the fertile river valley that still produces much food. The Incas used most of their land for agriculture whether it be flat river beds or terraced mountain sides. Visit the artisan market of Pisac. Enjoy and a delicious Andean buffet lunch along the Urubamba River.
Visit the town of Ollantaytambo, a fantastic historic village that still retains its original Inca construction of great architecture. Ingenious spring fed aqueducts still serve the local houses with a water supply for consumption and irrigation of their agriculture. In the afternoon, board the train to Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu (two-hours) where you will be met and escorted to your hotel.
Early in the morning, meet your guide for your private tour of Machu Picchu. Witness this magnificent architecture, layout, and stunning mountains in harmony with each other. Enjoy two-hours with your guide then have time to explore or hike on your own. Take the afternoon train back to Cusco and transfer to your hotel.
Early in the afternoon, your guide will meet you at your hotel to enjoy the wonderful sites around the city. Visit Koricancha- Temple of the Sun near the center of Cusco. Sacsayhuaman- 15 minutes outside of Cusco with huge walls comprised of monolithic stones, Q’enqo – a small cave like structure used in Inca ceremonies, Pucapucara- the small fortress and Tambomachay with its fountains and small canals. All of these sites are near each other and played an important part in the Inca’s ceremonies religious and civic. After completion of the tour you will be returned to the Main Square.

This tour will take place in southern Peru. You will be starting your journey in Lima, drive south by bus to Paracas, return to Lima. You will fly to Arequipa, then Cusco before returning to Lima for your international flight home.
