The Relais Il Falconiere and Spa is an old world charm in Tuscany. Guests are invited to choose their own corner of their heart. The rooms in the old villa, which preserve the intimacy of a stay in the main house, the little chapel to those adjacent or very close to the spa. Program

Il Falconiere wants you to feel relaxed and at home and so the courses are designed around the sort of cooking you would do in your own kitchen to entertain family and friends: the aim is to inspire you and send you home with new and exciting recipes while at the same time giving you time to cook with like-minded people. It doesn’t matter what level you are, just come along and enjoy the experience! You'll learn how to make delicious bread, pasta, stress-free main courses, impressive starters, and tempting desserts.

Itinerary

Day 1

Enjoy welcome cocktail with Silvia, your host for the week. The aperitif will be followed by a delicious gourmet dinner in Il Falconiere’s Michelin star restaurant.

Day 2

At 10:00, depart for a guided sightseeing tour of Cortona for a visit to this charming city, setting of the book and movie “Under the Tuscan Sun”. Lunch will be at Bottega Baracchi and come back to the Relais for your first cooking class. Tuscan cuisine transports, comforts, entices and speaks to the friendly, genuine, and improvisational spirit of Tuscan life. Both cooking and eating in Tuscany are natural pleasures. Today’s special includes:

  • Eggplant roll with prosciutto and bufala mozzarella
  • Pici pasta with cherry tomatoes
  • Pork medallion with black olives and orange aroma, tiramisu

Later, dinner will be with your creations matched by great Tuscan wines.

Day 3

At 10:00, be ready for the second cooking lesson followed by the lunch. Tuscan food tastes like itself. Ingredients are left to shine. So, if on your visit Silvia will hand you an apron, your work will be easy. You’ll start with primo ingredients, a little flurry of activity, perhaps some glasses of O’Lillo of the Baracchi Winery, and soon you’ll be carrying platters out the door. There will be zucchini flowers with ricotta cheese and basil, gnudi of ricotta with baby vegetables and saffron sauce, as well as chicken with Tuscan flavors, cantucci. In the afternoon at 6pm, enjoy a tour of the vineyard and winery of the Baracchi estate followed by the sabrage and wine tasting dinner in the restaurant.

Day 4

Enjoy your breakfast. Arrivederci to the next year!
