On this cooking holiday, you can discover the authentic Procidas culinary tradition, the meeting between fishing and agriculture. During your stay, your home will be the Hotel Solcalante, where Cerases family work, cook, and teach just for you. The hotel takes its name from the wonderful sunset you can admire from the terrace, from breakfast to dinner. Enjoy in this beautiful location, brush up on your Italian culinary skills, and experience a lovely boat ride with Procidas traditional boat, Gozzo!
You will be staying in a hotel room with terrace.
Arrive at the Naples International Airport (NAP) and be transferred to Naples harbor, where you will find the ferry for Procidas island. In the Procidas harbor, you will be transferred to the Solcalante Hotel. After check-in, relax in the hotel (you are free to enjoy the hotels spa). At 19:00, chef will meet the guests during a welcome drink. Chef Graziella will give you an overview of the weeks itinerary. Later on, have dinner on the panoramic terrace outside.
After breakfast, you will learn to cook the Sundays typical menu. You will learn to cook a complete menu (pasta, meat dish, side dish, and dessert). And then, you will sit down to eat! In the afternoon, learn how to make limoncello, and enjoy some free time in the evening.
On this day, you will have some free time after breakfast. Then, you will meet in the main port, where you will wait for the fishing boats and visit the fish market, where you will choose the fish to cook with the group. Later on, have dinner and a wine tasting.
After breakfast, have a lovely boat ride with Procidas traditional boat Gozzo. Just on boat, you can visit every Procidas bay. For this day, you will have a packed lunch and dinner on the hotels terrace.
Breakfast will follow the cooking class for this day, a hands-on class based on the comfort foods queen La Polpetta , from starts to desserts. This is a funny lesson based on the most famous Italian food. Afterwards, have some meatballs for lunch and a selection of red Campanian wines.
Breakfast and mini tour to the organic garden, where Hotel Solcalante usually buys vegetables, fresh eggs, and fruits. After the tour, follow the class about the farmer traditional meal. In the evening after dinner, Hotel Solcalante will present greetings with a lovely present for their guests; homemade jam and limoncello.

The Solcalante hotel is located on the Bay of Ciraccio, in a quiet and silent place. The Solcalante hotel, facing west, enjoys sunlight until the last hours of the afternoon. The atmosphere of this place has caused it to be chosen as the set of the film "Il Postino".
You will be served eight meals throughout your stay, including drinks and a wine tasting session. There is also a welcome drink upon arrival. In order to use exclusively seasonal products, the daily menu may change.
For breakfast you can expect: cakes, pies, and homemade jam.
The spa at the Solcalante is composed of a hot tub with chromotherapy cervical shower and a small sauna. You can book for treatments during your free time.
Please book your flight to arrive at Naples International Airport (NAP). Hotel Solcalante will pick you up from the airport. The pick-up is included in the price. Upon arrival at the airport, you will be transferred to the Port of Naples, where you will find the ferry to Procida's island. From Procida's port, you will be transferred to the hotel.
