We visited this area to attend a summer wedding in Kassis. We are pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and rustic ambience of this place. The breakfast was amazing; simple basic food with the freshest & best ingredients. Located up in the small hill & plenty of cafes, boutiques and lovely neighbourhood around. Definitely French!

Wonderful meal taken in the beautiful surroundings of the french countryside. We ate in the Bistrot a small but delcately chosen menu. The service was impeccable, extreamly kind and helpful. We also visited the gardens of 'the Bastide',which we thoroughly enjoyed walking through , enjoying the natural perfume of the flowers and plants (many of which we had seen on our plates previously).I would definately return.

Really amazing food. The service was exceptional. I think it is without a doubt a place where you could enjoy a romantic dinner. The food was some of the best I have had, well worth a visit. Life is short, enjoy a treat once in a while. You won't be disappointed. The location is perfect.

I first read reviews about Hostellerie Berard 10 years ago and finally made it in summer 2015. A cluster of buildings make up the Hotel and heading in and out is a wonderful journey of discovery in itself. We had a corner room, (perhaps a little tired at the time of staying but utterly charming and very well maintained) overlooking the pool and with views to the neighbouring village of Le Castellet. Staying in the hotel was great fun but the village of La Cadiere d'Azur, in the Bandol wine region, was a wonderful surprise. It is a small working village, overlooking the wine growing region, and absolutely charming. The main "street" is a single lane with cafes and bars on one side and seating on the other under the magnificent plane trees and feels like an extension of the Hotel. Daily routine: Sightseeing to the Cote d'Azur in the morning, afternoon by the pool; wander out to the main street before dinner for coffee, beer and Campari under the trees at one of the 2 bars with locals and tourists alike; dinner at one of the 2 restaurants in the hotel or in the street.

Hostellerie Berard is a wonderful place to stay. The service is excellent, the room we had was beautiful, and the dinner was the best ever. The personal are happy, funny, and really helpful in every way.

The staff were so welcoming, the hotel is very beautiful. When we got to our room and opened the shutters, we were thrilled at the balcony view of the vineyards and hillside. Loved our stay, lovely little town and such friendly people. The breakfast each morning in the hotel restaurant was magnificent; the staffs made us feel like we were welcomed into their home. Warm, beautiful touches in the rooms and throughout every area of the hotel. High quality for wonderful value.

The place is very nice and extremely pleasant; the food is delicious. We did a 4-day cooking course and M. Brard is a grant person: it was fantastic to watch his skill and his passion, reflected in the "Bastide", the art of spice in Provence. The pool is small but does not need more. The focus is eating. The restaurant offers what the gastronomy of France should offer. The bistrot de Jeff is impeccable, too.
