In Subbiano, in the Arezzo province, a villa of the seventeenth century and a medieval tower, once tower mill where Benedictine monks produced flour, have been transformed in to a 4-star relais. The tower and the beautiful Tuscan villa with swimming pool and the park, are surrounded by an atmosphere of romantic relaxation. The relais has a long history that can be felt in every corner from the tower built in the eighth century by the Longobards for warning and defense, to the mill, probably built around 1100 by Benedictine monks that here had great possessions and lands, and the villa built in the seventeenth century by the lords who decided to live there.

The charm and emotion of these suggestive environment were cleverly combined with all modern comforts, available to the guests who stay there. The tower now houses 4 stunning suites furnished in authentic medieval style, equipped with whirlpool bath. The villa of the seventeenth century, has rooms decorated in a Renaissance Tuscan style and medieval ceilings with beautiful exposed wood beams, terracotta floors and fine wrought-iron and or four-poster beds. The eleven rooms of the villa are located in the main building which also houses the restaurant and the bar.

The restaurant serves traditional Tuscan recipes with full respect of the traditional methods using genuine products. The pasta, bread sticks, muffins, jams and desserts are homemade. The wine list features a wide selection of Tuscan and Italian wines to accompany delicious dishes prepared by the chef. And finally the private spa room, built in an ancient cave represent the ideal location for romantic moments spent in total relaxation and comfort. It has a hot tub with chromo therapy, Turkish bath with thalasso-therapy and emotional showers, and a relaxation area with teas and fruit juices.
