The chalets where you will be staying are of a very high standard, with modern bathrooms and spa facilities. They are beautifully restored Savoyard farmhouses with ambiance and style. Your courses will be run from one of these luxury Alpine chalets: Chalet Vieille Savoyard, La Forge, Chalet Schuss, or Chalet Caro. You will be staying in a double or twin room with a private or en-suite bathroom.

Chalet Caro

Chalet Caro is a tastefully renovated Savoyard farmhouse, dating from 1835, located in the heart of the village of Les Houches. The chalet has five en-suite bedrooms and a sixth bedroom, a kitchen, a dining room with a French range cooker, a wood burning stove, and large farmhouse table that accommodates 12 people. There is also a professional second kitchen. Chalet Caro has an enclosed courtyard garden with barbecue facilities and a hot tub.

Chalet Schuss

Chalet Schuss sits in its own woodland just above the village of Les Houches. It enjoys some of the best views in the valley and boasts a large, sunny balcony and enormous floor to ceiling windows. The chalet has five bedrooms with private bathrooms, an open-plan sitting and dining area, a separate television and games room, a sauna, and an outdoor hot tub.

Chalet Vieille Savoyard

Chalet Vieille Savoyard is a tastefully renovated Savoyard farmhouse dating from 1781, located in the heart of the village of Les Houches. The chalet has five en-suite bedrooms, a hot tub, treatment room with massage table, and a sauna. There is also satellite television, Wi-Fi, and a garden.

La Vieille Forge

La Vieille Forge is a tastefully renovated blacksmith, set next to a small stream, located in a tranquil setting just above the village of Les Houches. The chalet has seven en-suite bedrooms, a spacious living room with an oak floor, and leather sofas and chairs.

It also features a wood-burning stove, and open-plan to a charming wood-panelled dining room. There is also a hot tub, a treatment room with massage table, and a sauna. The chalet also has satellite television, Wi-Fi, Wii games, and a lovely garden.

This course is run by Chef Emma Lawrenson and personal trainer Hannah Fletcher. They are flexible in their approach and can integrate any existing dietary or exercise requirements you have into your schedule, in addition to introducing you to some new ideas.

Above all, the aim is to ensure you have an enjoyable and interesting holiday that returns you back to your day-to-day life re-invigorated and re-inspired. Breakfast will be served at 08:00 every morning, lunch at 12:30, and dinner at 19:30. Lunch is followed by an hour of free time. The itinerary may vary due to weather conditions or local events.

Sunday

Arrival will begin at 14:00. After settling in, you will enjoy a 30-minute individual health assessment. The day will end with welcome drinks and dinner in the chalet.

Monday

From 09:00 to 10:30, there will be individual health assessments. At 11:00, you will energize with a Kettlercise session, followed by lunch. At 14:30, you will have your afternoon cooking session on organic lean meat and wild game. Dinner will be in the chalet.

Tuesday

After breakfast, at 10:00, you will have a morning cooking session on super seeds and grains, lentils, beans, and pulses. At 15:00, you will enjoy a Body Sculpt session and a hike. Dinner will be in the chalet.

Wednesday

Today, you will enjoy an Italian day out with a market visit and lunch in Italy. You will also enjoy a relaxing thermal spa visit. Upon return to the chalet, you will cook and eat Italian dinner.

Thursday

Today's morning cooking session will teach you about sourcing and cooking with fish. At 15:00, there will be a Core training session a one-hour Total Balance workshop. Dinner will be in the chalet.

Friday

The morning cooking session will begin at 09:30. Today, you will learn about quick and easy meal combinations for essential amino acids, Omega oils, vitamins. At 15:00, you will have your training session, which will include lake circuits, stretching, and relaxing. Dinner will be at L’Impossible Organic Restaurant, in Chamonix.

Saturday

Departure will be after breakfast.

During your vacation, you will enjoy an Italian day out. This small trip will take you to visit a market and a thermal spa. On this day, you will also enjoy lunch in Italy.

    Emma is a private and fine dining chef based in Chamonix, in the French Alps, providing private catering and hospitality services. The summers in the French Alps are so stunning and the produce is so exciting that Emma sets up Holiday Cookery Courses to introduce and share with clients the culinary delights of the region.

    Jenna has experience as a chalet, private dining, and international chef. Her cooking styles are modern European and haute cuisine.

  • Hersha Patel

    Hersha is a self-trained television and YouTube chef. Her cooking styles are Anglo-Indian, vegetarian, and vegan.

  • Lisa Murgatroyd

    Lisa has experience as a chalet, restaurant, high-end private dining, and corporate event chef. Her cooking styles are modern European, vegetarian, vegan, and fine dining.

  • Hannah Fletcher

    Hannah is an experienced personal trainer who works with clients one-on-one or in small groups. She holds a bachelor of science degree in sports science and has experience in coaching, weight management, and sports massage.

This wellness and cooking holiday will be held in the village of Les Houches in Chamonix Valley, France. From the chalet, you can easily travel throughout Chamonix Valley, as well as to Italy and Switzerland. Les Houches is ideal for both long weekend cookery holidays and week cooking courses.

All meals for the duration of the holiday are included, either in the accommodation or at a restaurant when specified on the itinerary. Wine is provided with lunch and dinner.   • Breakfast muesli mix consisting of oats, quinoa puffs, rice puffs, corn flakes, golden linseed, flaxseed, complete sesame seed, pumpkin seeds, chia seed, almond flakes, hazelnut, giant sultanas, and cranberries, with dried dates and apricots, served in pro-biotic yogurt, soy yogurt, or hot porridge and agave syrup
