Do you know that yoga and a healthy, colorful, and homemade diet make a great combination? Come with Space for Yoga to the little village of Luče in Slovenia for a long weekend full of practicing yoga and cooking fun. Surrounded by the coziness of a little Slovenian village and the southernmost part of the Alps, you will practice yoga on a daily basis and also learn to prepare some delicious vegetarian and vegan meals.
During this retreat, you will be staying at a chalet in the village of Luče ob Savinj.
A well-balanced and healthy nutrition is one of the main pillars for keeping your body fit and active from the inside out. Nutrition is the lubricating oil on your body and it is up to you which type of “oil“ you use to keep going. Especially when being constantly in motion, it is important to keep a good diet. This is just one of the reasons why yoga and cooking work well together!
If you practice yoga and would like to take your practice off the mat and into your daily life, interested in and enjoy healthy and yummy cooking, would like to cook with a group of like-minded people, new to yoga or cooking and would like to give it a try in a small, informal, and relaxed atmosphere, then this retreat might be just what you are looking for!
You will dedicate a long weekend, from Wednesday through Sunday, to work your body, mind, and soul, having community cooking sessions, and spend time in the nature, all for the sake of returning to your daily lives with rays of energy and a collection of new recipes and cooking tricks.
You will start your retreat on the day of arrival (Wednesday, April 5, 2017) at 17:30 with a little welcome reception, followed by an evening asana practice and dinner. You will finish the program together on Sunday (April 9, 2017) with a morning asana practice, followed by a farewell breakfast.

Yoga is a part of Helene's life, even though she was not aware of this for a pretty long time. Yoga consciously happened for the very first time around the year 2005. It was not love at first sight, but she felt straight away that yoga was good to herself, to her body, and to her mind. Yoga and Helene slowly grew closer and closer as time passed, and since 2010, she has been practicing yoga regularly. Her relationship with yoga intensified in 2013 when she attended her first teacher training and so she gradually started teaching yoga as well as practicing it.
This retreat will take place in the village of Luče ob Savinj, Slovenia. It is located around 20 kilometers from the Austrian border and lies beneath the Savinja Alps, which is the last mountain range before the end of the European Alps. The cozy and comfy village atmosphere is the perfect setting for this yoga kitchen.
During this retreat, daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included. You will cook your own vegetarian or vegan light lunch and dinner together.
Please book your flight to arrive at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU). Transfer from the airport is available upon request for 35 EUR. Coming from the north, you can also either cross the mountains from the Austrian side at Bad Eisenkappel into Slovenia, taking you directly to Luče ob Savinj. In case of snow, the motorway via Maribor is a safer and easier option.
