Throughout this culinary holiday, your accommodation will be at a home-stay. You will be spending one night in a private bungalow and another night in a room with air conditioning.

Day 1 - Ho Chi Minh City, My Tho, Ben Tre, Can Tho

Today is the start of your holiday in Vietnam. You will be picked up at your hotel in the Ho Chi Minh City center and depart for My Tho. You will enjoy the scenic landscape along the way, bordered by green rice fields. On arrival at My Tho, you will visit Vinh Trang pagoda, take a leisurely boat ride along the river, and view stilt houses, fruit plantations, and fishing villages along the river bank.

Next, you will proceed to Tortoise Islet to have lunch in the orchard garden then take a boat to An Khanh, a less touristy attraction in Ben Tre. You will enjoy cruising on a hand-rowed sampan under the shade of water coconut trees along natural canals, then enjoy seasonal fruit and honey tea to the sound of southern Vietnamese folk music, performed by the locals.

Later, you will visit a family business which epitomizes the idyllic rural lifestyle, taste delicious coconut candy, and observe the pastoral life as you roam through the fruit plantations and villages. Then, you will head for Can Tho. There will be a transfer by motor boat to a small village in Cai Rang district. Next, you will check into your riverside cottage.

In the afternoon, you will go cycling or trekking around the village to experience the rural lifestyle of the Mekong Delta people. When it's time for dinner, you will enjoy self-cooked meals together with the local host. After that, enjoy an evening of traditional folk music with your neighbors. Today's meal plan includes lunch and dinner.

Day 2 - Can Tho, Chau Doc, Tra Su Sanctuary

Today, you will take a leisurely boat trip to explore the picturesque tributaries of the Lower Mekong river (Bassac River), then proceed to Cai Rang floating markets, which are the liveliest in the whole religion. Have you ever tasted Vietnamese vermicelli soup? Well, now go and see how it is made. Then, you will wander around the village and meet the friendly local people and experience how to pass a Monkey bridge, which is built by only one stem of bamboo.

Before lunch, you will visit the orchard garden, then proceed to Chau Doc to visit Tra Su, getting to the wild birds sanctuary. You will enjoy cruising smoothly with small boats to discover the arrays of splendid canals deep into the forest, watching storks, cranes, and other tropical birds. Next, you will go back to the town to check in at a hotel in Chau Doc. Today's meal plan include breakfast.

Day 3 - Chau Doc, Ho Chi Minh

After breakfast, you will take a nice boat trip through the floating village to visit a fish farm to see how the Mekong Delta people raise fish in their floating houses. You will also visit the Cham minority with their traditional weaving village, followed by a visit to a local Islamic mosque. Then, you will travel back to Ho Chi Minh City. Today's meal plan includes breakfast.

Two breakfast, three lunches, and two dinners are included in the price. You will cook your own food during your first night in Cai Rang. You will also have the chance to enjoy Vietnamese dishes at local restaurants and sample a delicious coconut candy. Additionally, one bottle of mineral water is provided for each person every day.
