There is no better way to understand the complexity and nuances of "terroir" than to visit Burgundy, one of France's most prestigious wine regions. As you explore the world-famous Cte d'Or ("Golden Slopes") home to illustrious Grand Cru's such as Romane Conti, Chambertin, and Montrachet, you'll discover the subtle play between land, sun, and vine that brings out the most noble and diverse expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes.

Burgundy is also one of the most beautiful and historically important regions in France, and you'll experience its rich cultural heritage at fascinating sights like the Clos de Vougeot with its 13th century wine presses and the Htel Dieu (Hospices de Beaune), the Renaissance hospital famous for its yearly wine auction.

Champagne is synonymous with celebration and the good life, and a trip to Champagne is a non-stop celebration of great wine and food. Only 1 1/2 hours from Paris, Champagne is a fabulous destination for a long weekend, or it can be combined easily with Burgundy for a superb and varied wine touring experience in France.

Loire Valley

Visit France's most romantic castles and taste great wines on your next wine tour in France. Visiting the royal castles like Chenonceau or the impressive Chambord Castle is like taking a walk back into the greatest moments of France's history. The Loire boasts a large variety of fine wines - red, white, sparkling and it is a perfect destination for those who want to add wine country touring to a visit to Paris or elsewhere in France.

Paris is a city that feeds the soul, exuding history, culture and romance. Known as the City of Light, the capitol of France is the center of haute couture, and contains some of the world's most illustrious art and architecture.

Parisians enjoy a perfect pairing of fine dining and bohemian cafes; upscale neighborhoods and vibrant ethnic enclaves; haute couture and trend setting street style. It is one of the most visited cities in the world and its lights shine brighter than ever.

One might expect to visit the Eiffel Tower, or perhaps to take a tour by boat on the Seine, both of which are worthy of the acclaim they have achieved. There are many other places visitors can go to feel the history as well as gain a sense of daily life in Paris.

Paris is a city that has endured as the cultural capital of France (and Europe). Its history is rich and its culture has influenced the wider world. It is a place where food is revered, where fashion is art, and where fine art is fashionable. Taking time to discover this amazing city and seeking paths unknown will create an immeasurably memorable experience.

"Staying at Chateau Pichon Longueville Baron was magical. We watched the sun rise over the vineyards of Chateau Latour from the windows of our room. We enjoyed dressing for dinner, sharing an aperitif with new friends in the sitting room recalling memories of the day while nestled among the vineyards. Dinners at the Chateau were more intimate and memorable than at even the finest restaurants."
