I received formal training as a chef in both pastry and savory arts at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. From there I’ve worked in patisseries, pastry kitchens and cooking schools in Paris, Napa Valley, San Francisco, Southern France and Italy. I’ve cooked with other chefs, wine & cheese makers, food purveyors and even a few famous Italian mammas throughout my culinary travels. Since 2012, I’ve been organizing and leading culinary journeys in both Italy and France, and offering daily cooking classes in Provence.

This holiday take place in the Amalfi Coast, Italy. Amalfi Coast is a popular holiday destination, with sheer cliffs and a rugged shoreline dotted with small beaches and pastel-colored fishing villages. The coastal road between the port city of Salerno and clifftop Sorrento winds past grand villas, terraced vineyards, and cliffside lemon groves.

Meals will focus on authentic and traditional dishes from the region. Classes will include two lessons on full courses and one class on the art of making pizza. Among other delicious recipes, some of the dishes you will learn to prepare include: handmade Ravioli Caprese, eggplant Parmigiano, Neapolitan lasagna, Mussels alla Marinara, and desserts such as Torta Caprese and Delizie al Limone.

"We chose the Market Tour and Cooking Class. My daughter and I wanted to brag about doing a cooking course in France! What a treat. We were met by Kathy, and introduced to our 5 other cooking buddies, and a wonderful day followed. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of the day, the tour of the different markets was great and Kathy pointed out her favourite stalls, and we had time to shop for ourselves as well. From vanilla pods to delicious cherries, lovely jams... the list was endless. The meal we cooked was delicious, complimented by olives, tapenades, a lovely cheese platter, and a never ending supply of chilled wine. By the end of the meal, we were all chatting like old friends, making for a relaxing, most enjoyable day! The nice part too was that there were only 7 of us of a maximum 8 for the class, so Kathy joined us for the meal as well, and trusted my daughter to make her lunch while she was busy instructing us. Highly recommended. Thank you, Kathy, for a wonderful day."
