During this holiday, you will stay at The Mauritius Pallagino Guest House. There are four cozy, comfortable bedrooms, decorated with care, with all amenities and services provided by five stars hotels. This room has modern classical design, yet warm and stylish, offers all of the latest amenities that a guest would require. Soft muted colors with custom crafted furnishing and canvas hand painted by artists to create a sophisticated yet relaxed feel to the room. A nice and comfortable king size bed for your relaxation. A baby crib/bed may be installed upon request. The suite offers a private balcony with relaxing chairs and side table, to enjoy your evening, sipping your favorite cocktail.

Red Kimberly family suite

This is a large suite painted in warm colors, with custom crafted furnishing and hand painted wall decors, with one large double bed and one single bed, plus a baby crib, and private bathroom; could comfortably accommodate a family of four; three adults and a baby. The suite has a very large balcony with mountain view.

Pink Princess double room suite

This is a large suite painted in warm colors, with custom crafted furnishing and hand painted wall decors, with one large and comfortable king size bed and private bathroom, could comfortably accommodate two adults with a baby. The suite has a very large balcony for you to enjoy great sunrises and mountain view.

Purple Hart junior suite

This is a large suite painted with warm cozy colors, with custom crafted furnishing and hand painted wall decors, with one full size bed, one double sofa bed, and private en-suite toilet/shower room. It could easily accommodate four adults or a family with two children. Baby crib maybe added upon request. The suite has a private balcony with relaxing chairs and side table, to enjoy your evening, sipping your favorite cocktail.

Program

DAY 1: ARRIVAL

Pick-up at the airport. After a short drive arrive at the villa "Pallagino". You will be welcomed by chef/patron Sandy and enjoy a refreshing cocktail. Relax and settle into your room or walk three minutes to the beautiful golden beach, and dip into the crystal clear water. This evening, get your first initiation on Mauritian cuisine.

Enjoy chicken with special homemade spice mix, this is a dish so aromatic that it will linger long after you have finished your dinner, with side dishes, salads, starters and dessert to complete the evening. Time for a cocktail, and then enjoy your dinner at Chefs’ Table with drinks.

DAY 2

After breakfast, Chef Sandy will take you for a guided shopping tour of Port-Louis market. She will introduce you to fresh local produce, herbs and spices, purchase anything of your liking. You will cook once you are back in the villa.

Discover local street food, Dholl puri, samosas, chili cakes, gato arouilles, not forgetting the most famous Alouda, a milk shake with Mauritian twist. Feel free to roam and shop around on your own if you wish, Chef Sandy will meet you later for lunch at Caudan water front. After lunch, you will be back at the villa and relax in your room.

This evening, you will cook a wonderful fish dish and some of the interesting, freshly purchased vegetables. After cocktail, enjoy your dinner with all drinks.

DAY 3

After breakfast, you will take a guided tour of "Pamplemouse" botanical gardens. Then enjoy traditional lunch at a beach front restaurant overlooking the bay. Then you will drive around to discover the great beaches in the area, "La Cuvette" "Pereybere", "Bain Boeuf".

Drive to Cap Malheureux, and visit the oldest chapel in Mauritius, famous with its red roof. Later, you will be back at the villa and relax for a while. You will cook soup, starters, chicken, rice, vegetable, salad and dessert. Time for a cocktail, and then enjoy your dinner with drinks.

DAY 4

After breakfast, explore the east. In the village of Trou D’Eau Douce, take a short trip on speed boat, to discover the Ile aux Cerf without any doubt is the most beautiful beaches of Mauritius. It is of unparalleled beauty, the water is so pure, so clear, with pretty little fishes swimming around. Perhaps you’d like to be the next Robinson Crusoe and build your next cabin on the island. This is a day full of emotions, sun, beach and sea.

Lunch is a feast of seafood and langouste, not to forget the good old rum, followed by everlasting rums tasting sessions. Then, you will visit the GRSW waterfalls. Later back at the villa, you will be tired from the trip and quickly freshen up. Relax, the chef will cook tonight, you will just enjoy.

DAY 5

On Catamaran visit the Northern Islands. Enjoy great time snorkelling, BBQ and drinks. Late afternoon, there will be hands-on cooking lesson of lentil soup, rougailles, plate of fritters, salad, more of the local vegetable dishes, and dessert.

DAY 6

Today, you start early morning for the dolphin safari, watch and swim with these marvelous creatures and their natural habitats (not a park). Take memorable pictures. Then enjoy barbecue lunch at “Benitier” Island, and take a dip in sparkling waters at Crystal Rock, an open sea aquarium. This evening you cook five new dishes

DAY 7

Discovering the Southern Wilderness

Visit a ship model factory and see artisans create great masterpieces of the sailing ships.

Visit a diamond factory, unique pieces, for the pleasure of the eyes.

Curepipe and the “Trou aux cerfs” – See a volcano from its summit.

‘The Ganga Talao’ with its numerous temples. Great place of worship for the population of Hindu faith. Visited by over 300,000 people each year during the festival of “Maha Shivratri” or The Great Night of Shiva – discover the largest statue of Shiva outside the India.

The pilgrims walk for days and nights to reach the “Ganga Talao”.

Plaine Champagne, ‘The Gorges of the Black River‘, ‘Le Parc Alexandra‘ …

Enjoy lunch in a typical restaurant, to taste the products of Chamarel.

DAY 8

Last minutes shopping in Grand bay Bazaar. Lunch will be served at the villa, by the patio. Then it is time to say good bye, until next time. You will depart for the airport.

Please note, there are maximum of eight persons. Feast of Mauritius divide the cooking class in two groups. Group one do the cooking and group two goes on excursions. The next day they alternate. Group two do the cooking and group one goes on excursion.
