Vietnamese cuisine is famous all around the globe, and Hue and Hoi An are the best places if you want to discover it. By joining this trip, you will get to know the delicious and healthy food of Vietnam; you will learn about its ingredients, how it is prepared, and, finally, you will taste it. You will also experience the best local dishes, while discovering Vietnam’s unique and ancient culture. This vacation will certainly be enriching, both to your palate and your mind!
During this holiday, you will spend two nights in Hue and two nights in Hoi An.
Exotic Travel Vietnam will pick you up at the Phu Bai International Airport (HUI), in Hue, to take you to the hotel. In the evening, you will take a cyclo ride to an ancient-designed restaurant for dinner, where you will enjoy royal dinner food. This kind of food used to be served to the Nguyen kings and the royal family. You will spend the night in Hue.
In the morning, you will take a rest on the dragon boat on the Perfume River to visit the Heavenly Lady Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hue. The car then will drive you to the citadel to explore the home the Nguyen kings, the Noon Gate, the Main Royal Palace, the temple, and the Forbidden City. The Royal Museum, which is close to the palace, will be visited to see the typical artifacts from the royal family. After that, you will go back the hotel to relax.
In the afternoon, you will take the Hue street food tour to explore Hue’s gastronomy, as well as the Vietnamese cuisine. This will allow you to taste Hue’s street food, which is real, local food cooked by the local people. You will spend the night in Hue. Breakfast and dinner are included for this day.
You will depart from your hotel, in Hue, to Hoi An, with a scenic journey along the coast. You will go past the green fields, the lagoons, and the peaceful countryside. There will be a stop to take pictures at Lang Co Bay and its fishing village. You will drive over Hai Van Pass, which offers incredible views on clear days.
It will be good to stop in Da Nang for a small lunch, including local food like the Quang noodle. Then, you will visit the My Khe beach, a rest and recreation beach that used to be famous among American soldiers at Da Nang. After this, you will get some exercise climbing up the Marble Mountains to visit the caves and the dozens of Buddhist shrines.
You will then arrive at Hoi An, the former international trading port. You will be recommended some local restaurants to try local dishes, such as cao lau, hoanh ton, white rose, spring rolls, and more. You will spend the night in Hoi An. Breakfast and lunch are included for this day.
This morning you will get chance to take a bike to ride around Hoi An and visit the Tra Que vegetable village to explore the herbs and basils, popular ingredients used in Vietnamese food.
Later, you will take part in a cooking class, where a good chef will teach you how to cook some Hoi An local dishes. After your class, you will have the opportunity to enjoy the food that you have prepared. Then, you will go back to the hotel and have some free time for shopping in Hoi An Old Town. You will spend the night in Hoi An. Breakfast and lunch are included for this day.
You will be taken from Hoi An to Da Nang International Airport (DAD) for your departure.
