I want to say first, I did not know what to expect when booking this. I thought I would show up and just cook and have a good time. Eumelia by far exceeded any expectation I have ever had. We bonded with the others who booked and had different outings from relaxing on the beaches, eating at amazing taverns, different cooking/food expos and tours, to exploring caves and villages.
Eumelia was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I was searching for culinary trips for about two months and noticed the pricing and descriptions of this particular farm. Frangiskos and Marilena’s visions for this farm is to inform people about sustainable organic farming and cooking. Using their own brand of extra virgin olive oil and local ingredients if not from their own farm, the from neighboring friends and farms.
We became like family and joked around and enjoyed each other. On the farm there are villas that can be booked and they are very charming and comfortable. Keep in mind there are a few creatures roaming around but that’s to be expected, because hello, we are on a farm in the middle of nowhere. Make sure to ask Frangiskos about how he built his home and villas because it is very enlightening and you can tell this way of life truly makes him happy and blessed. He also helps you reflect on the impact we have in our communities and the cycle of how we live and eat.

My wife and I spent a night at Eumelia on our travels through Greece. Frangiskos, the owner, is a tremendous host. Talking with him about the mission of the farm and walking around the property is truly inspiring. He's also an amazing cook! Dinner and breakfast with produce direct from the farm is not to be missed. The accommodations couldn't be more beautiful (and sustainable). Ride bikes, eat, make a fire, watch the stars. There's nothing better. Don't miss this place!
We had a great time during our stay at Eumelia. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable. We had great conversations during our stay and can really feel the love and passion for what they do. The olive oil tasting was fun and learned a lot. Dinner and breakfast was very good, we very much enjoyed it. We took a walk around the area alone and once again with the owner. The guided walk was very informative and interesting. The bed was very comfortable, I had a good night’s sleep.

We had a wonderful four night stay at Eumelia’s. The property is right in the nature surrounded by their olive farm, organic vegetable garden, vineyards, pigsty, friendly people, and 3 loving dogs. The “cabin” or the guest house is clean and cozy. We did a cooking class, olive oil tasting, and the eco tour. Frangiskos and Marilena are the heart and soul of this place. They are very warm and welcoming, and that made us feel like home away from home. They spent the time getting to know each of their guests. Marilena’s cooking is amazing! Here you can enjoy the delicious Greek food with tastes of immense freshness. If you don’t have time to do any of the activities they offer, at least get a tour from Frangiskos to learn about the efforts and care they put into every little detail of the guest house, sustainable farming and living, and connecting people and nature closer together. We came with a simple mindset to unwind and getaway from all the hustle and bustle in the city. However, we felt that we left with much more fulfilled and inspired. Within one hour drive from the farm, you can also do excursions to nearby towns in southern Greece like Monemvasia, Gytheio, etc. We really recommend this place to people who share similar ideology or simply want to be in the nature. We would definitely come back again. One additional tip: the visibility of the road leading to the property in the evening is quite low. We suggest guests to plan to get there by sunset.
