Escuela Montalban presents a seven-day course to learn to cook Spanish food while learning Spanish in Granada, Andalusia.

Spanish cooking classes

What a better way to bring to you the tastes of Andalusia than to take you directly into an Andalusian kitchen. Join Escuela Montalban in Granada, the last Muslim Kingdom in Spain, and learn about the Arabic legacy still prevailing in the succulent gastronomy of this beautiful Eastern Andalusian region.

Spanish cuisine owes a large part of its typical dishes to the Arabs. Although many cultural achievements from that period were forgotten when the Christians reconquered Spain, the art of cooking and baking has remained. You will learn how to prepare some of the most exquisite recipes coming from Al-Andalus times.

Your teacher is a professional cook with many years experience in catering. He will demonstrate the preparation of special dishes, or a tapas selection. There will be four cooking classes of 45 minutes per week one on Tuesday and other on Thursday from 12:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m and includes lunch. The group size starts from one student. This cooking lesson is for all levels.

Language course

This course of four lessons a day which allows students to complement other cultural and culinary activities with language study. Escuela Montalban recommends this course for those who wish to combine a relaxed language course with the study of Spanish culture in real-life situations. Students can start learning Spanish from scratch or further improve their linguistic skills. There are 20 lessons of 45 minutes per week from Monday to Friday in this course. The group size is limited to eight students. All Spanish levels (A0/A1/B1/B2/C1/C2) are taught in this course from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 a.m.

Please note that a certificate of attendance will be given at the end of each Spanish course and is already included in the course price. Also, the course starts every Monday all year round.

This holiday will take place in Granada in Andalusia in Spain. Granada, the birthplace of the poet Federico García Lorca, is without a doubt one of the most fascinating cities in southern Spain. It is also an important university town with almost 300,000 inhabitants and more than 60,000 students.
