During this vacation, you will stay either in a private or shared room in the Exe Almada Porto during the first five nights and in the Mercure Braga Centro for the remaining two nights.
The Hotel Mercure Braga Centro is a new four-star hotel in Braga located in the center of the city. The spacious and modern rooms offer a high level of comfort with their wide beds and bathrooms with a walk-in shower. All rooms are also equipped with air conditioning, a hairdryer, a minibar, an LCD television, a safe box, a work desk, free Wi-Fi, and tea and coffee making facilities.
During your stay, you will have cable programming and free Wi-Fi. The hotel also has a restaurant in which you will find a wide variety of dishes on offer. You may also enjoy the hotel's bar, fitness center, and a seasonal outdoor swimming pool on the top floor of the hotel. The hotel also boasts four meeting rooms and a parking lot.

Your day starts at “Monte São Domingos da Serra”, a place of unique beauty, with a magnificent view over the mouth of both Arda and Douro rivers. After enjoying the view, it is time to start our way until “Fojo” shaft, the first place connected to the mining industry. After a short stop it is time to follow the ancient coal mine line and discover some remains of that time. Along your walk you will be able to see Arda River and discover some wonderful landscapes until we reach the centennial “Pedorido” bridge. Your walk ends at the mines with a small snack. Distance: 5 miles. Duration: 1/2 day.
Your day starts at “Areja”, Lomba with a magnificent view over Douro river. After some information, it is time to start you discovering some of the most beautiful landscapes of the region. The first stop is at “lomba” beach, a place famous for its water sports. After a short break it is time to go through the village of “Lomba” until you reach “Pé de Moura”, where you will be able to see some of the typical boats used to fish. On your way back there will be time to enjoy some wonderful landscapes and a small snack at the end. Overnight in Porto.
Your challenge for the day is to join us and discover some of the most beautiful treasures the Douro has to offer... After a journey of about one and a half hour the day starts at Samodães, with an excellent view over Douro river and Régua town. It is time to start your descent until the river, going along the vineyards, olive and fig trees.The walk continues until we reach Régua town where you will have lunch. After lunch it is time to go along some of the most beautiful paths of the region until
Pinhão, where you will visit the train station, famous for its tiles. To finish the day you will visit a wine estate and taste the famous port wine. An excellent way to know the Douro region, World Heritage.

Guided tour in the city of Braga, known as the “Portuguese Rome”, for its concentration of religious architecture, as the oldest Cathedral of the country. Founded in Roman times, with the name of Bracara Augusta, this city has over 2000 years of history. You will visit The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sameiro and Bom Jesus. On the afternoon we visit Guimarães. A historic town, exceptionally well-preserved and an authentic example of the evolution of a medieval settlement into a modern town. (Optional: visit the museums and monuments). Overnight in Braga.
The last day of the trip, you will have a beautiful walk on the beach. A walk with lesser degree of difficulty, which will serve to appreciate the landscape, learn the fisher community of Póvoa de Varzim and smell the sea air. Overnight in Braga.

Located on the northern bank of the Douro river, discovering this city is to find many surprises. Increasingly contemporary and creative, the city of Oporto has a rare beauty which is the fruit of its landscape, the harmony of its lines and its urban structure.
As soon as you start your visit, you will discover the hospitality of its inhabitants, characteristic in the North of the country, and you will feel this entire atmosphere in the streets, in the architecture, in the monuments and in the museums, as well as in its leisure spaces, in its terraces, and in its commercial areas.
One of the joys of Northern Portugal is the warmth of the welcome you’ll receive from your hosts. The food is hearty and wholesome, and we can guarantee that you’ll find it hard to lose weight on this walk.
During your free time, you may visit some other emblematical places in both cities such as museums and restaurants. Porto has an active nightlife you may also want to engage in or you may swim in the pool and relax. In Braga, you may exercise at the fitness center or play some tennis in the hotel's tennis courts.
