Day 1

  • 08:00 Appointment with an Eatalytour employee at your accommodation in Rome and departure for Orvieto
  • 09:30 Arrival at Orvieto and check-in at the hotel
  • 10:30 You will find your guide at the hotel entrance to start the tour of the city
  • 13:00 End of the visit and lunch in a typical restaurant

During this culinary holiday, you will visit beautiful cities, such as Orvieto, Montepulciano, Pienza, and Montalcino, in Italy. Orvieto, perched on a cliff of tuff, gives great views over the quaint old town, magnificent monuments, and sights, including the Cathedral of Orvieto, a masterpiece of Italian Gothic architecture; the Chapel of San Brizio, famous for its frescoes; and Saint Patrick's Well, a true masterpiece of engineering.

The Val d'Orcia is a wide valley in the province of Siena, close to the border with Umbria. It takes the name from the Orcia River running through it and is characterized by spectacular scenic views and many medieval villages, such as Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, San Quirico d'Orcia, and San Casciano dei Bagni. Val d'Orcia is also world-famous for its traditional Brunello di Montalcino and Nobile di Montepulciano wines, the Cinta Senese, and the Pecorino of Pienza.


A hearty breakfast prepared with the highest quality products is provided every day. Your vacation also includes one lunch and three dinners. Your holiday will be complete with a cooking class, which you will eat for dinner with wine, and visits to an oil mill, a wine cellar, and a cheese factory. These three visits include tastings sessions of the products made in these establishments. In Italy, you will get to try some of these dishes and ingredients:

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) or Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA).

Transfer from and to these airports is available upon request. One-way transfer from Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Rome center costs between 50 and 80 EUR for two to eight persons. One-way transfer from Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA) to Rome center costs between 45 and 70 EUR for two to eight persons.

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 2 days before the arrival date.
