During this amazing culinary vacation, you will learn how to prepare typical dishes of the Umbrian cuisine with a professional chef and spend a day in search of truffles with truffle hunters accompanied with dogs. You will also get to visit a farmhouse to eat the truffles collected with handmade pasta, fresh cheese made on site, and other local products. Your stay in Umbria will be complete with a visit to Rasiglia, the village of water and mills.

A low hill and close to Campello sul Clitunno, the bed and breakfast Il Giovine has three elegantly furnished rooms with private bathroom with shower, bidet, bathrobes, hair dryers, and complimentary toiletries. You can relax in the large lounge with fireplace in winter or in the cool terrace in the summer.

Here, you can follow short courses of typical Umbrian cuisine made with local ingredients, together with the hostess and chef, Chiara. The amenities include centralized warming, living room, linens and towels, coffee machine, and fridge. Pets are allowed on request.

Day 1

  • 08:00 Appointment with an Eatalytour employee at your accommodation in Rome and transfer to Campello sul Clitunno
  • 09:30 Arrival at the accommodation and check-in
  • 10:30 Transfer to the oil mill in Campello sul Clitunno and extra virgin olive oil tasting with local snacks
  • 13:30 Transfer to Fonti del Clitunno for a visit and relax time
  • 15:30 Back to the accommodation
  • 17:00 Cooking class with the chef, with whom you will prepare an appetizer, a first course, a main course, and a dessert that will be consumed at dinner
  • 20:00 Dinner and overnight

Day 2

  • 08:00 Breakfast
  • 10:00 Departure for Pettino Village, where Mac and his dogs will go in search of the precious and delicious truffles; the day will continue in a sheep pasture, where you will visit a typical old house to eat handmade pasta with truffles, sheep cheese, sausages, and many genuine things
  • 17:00 Back to the accommodation
  • 20:00 Dinner and overnight

  • 08:30 Breakfast
  • 10:00 Transfer to Rasiglia and visit to the wonderful village of water and mills
  • 12:30 Back to the accommodation and lunch

Transfer from and to these airports is available upon request. One-way transfer from Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) to Rome center costs between 50 and 80 EUR for two to eight persons. One-way transfer from Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA) to Rome center costs between 45 and 70 EUR for two to eight persons.
