You will stay in a 5-star villa Can Verru, a celebrity favorite, with previous guests being Kylie Minogue, Kate Moss, and Heston Blumenthal. This villa is the epitome of luxury, with each room finished to the finest detail, with a gym, private grounds, yoga deck, lounge bar, private pool, and sun deck. The villa is situated in San Augustin, an area perfectly placed to watch sunsets and visit some of the best beaches on the island. It is everything you could possibly want. A variety of accommodation options are available in the villa. It really depends on what experience you want from your retreat. They provide options for twin rooms for you and your friend, doubles for couples, or singles for those who like their own space.

During the retreat, you will participate in cooking lessons, all of which will be hands on, this is no demonstration! The food will be created by you, with the chefs' guidance. Each lesson, you will work with a different style, a different culture, or a different occasion. You will learn the basics of cookery for a healthy you. Learn how to make delicious wholesome food for all occasions, from your daily breakfast to a dinner party. Through the week, you will learn a broad range of skills, from sushi making to a healthy post-workout breakfast. Creating indulgent guilt free desserts, designing sublime cocktails, and even learning a little about foraging will be some of your activities.

Your days are as action packed or as relaxed as you wish. At EAT Retreat, you will feel indulged and pampered. Nothing is mandatory, everything is optional. If you wish, you can spend your days lounging around the gorgeous pool, or you can hang in the hammock reading your favorite books, even a night out in Ibiza town! During the week, a range of experiences to expand your creative mind and help feed your creativity are offered, from an artwork class to a Kundalini yoga session, from a tour to a local food market, nutritional talks, and an "ask the chef" session, the activities will inspire the cook you have always wanted to be.

In the evenings, you'll put down your tools and take a time to relax and let the staff members do the work. With a team of award-winning chefs, they will create a range of gorgeous dinners, so all you have to do is to sit under the stars and relax. On the final evening, you will all dine out and watch the sunset at one of the island's hottest restaurants, taking in the experiences of the week, and indulging in one final evening of gorgeous food on the island.

Most of your cookery lessons will take place at lunchtime. The lessons will include:

  • A basic skills class - The first of the week ran by a professional chef, including how to master basic knife skills, how you prepare foods well, how to work a kitchen like a chef and tips on how to create a masterpiece whatever your dining situation.
  • A market tour in Ibiza town, taking in the foods on offer and understanding the food culture of Ibiza
  • A sushi making class, taught by Anne Marie Duperouzel - Learn to master the art of rolling and preparing sushi, including rice making, rolling, four types of sushi, and some sides for the perfect sushi dining experience
  • Bread baking with a healthier twist
  • Cocktail making - Learn how to make some cocktails with a twist for any party occasion
  • Foraging and how to use foraged foods well in your cookery
  • How to cook the alkaline way to create a perfectly balanced body, taught by Natasha Corrett
  • How to cook Korean food well, taught by Jordan Bourke
  • How to cook a range of guilt-free, delicious desserts
  • Wine tasting - A lesson taught by a sommelier in how to pick the right wines for the right occasion

    Natasha founded Honestly Healthy in 2010, following her discovery of using an alkaline diet in helping her intolerance. Her specialty is creating a healthier version of classic dishes, with classic cooking taught by her father, a French restaurant owner. Natasha worked with nutritionist Vicki Edgson and wrote the book, Honestly Healthy: Eat with Your Body in Mind the Alkaline Way, which became a bestseller. Later, they published a second book together, Honestly Healthy for Life, also a bestseller translated into many languages.

  • Jordan Bourke

    Jordan is an Irish chef, food stylist and author of the bestselling cookbooks ‘The Guilt-Free Gourmet’ and ‘The Natural Food Kitchen’. He was named the winner of the K-Food Festival, a competition searching for the UK’s best Korean chef, and he was also awarded an honorary ambassadorship by the Korean Foreign Ministry to promote Korean food in the UK.

During your stay at Can Verru, you may try some of their extra beauty treatments on site including reflexology, Swedish and sports massage, facials, nail therapies, hair styling and cut, hot stone therapy, acupuncture, and reiki. Some action-packed activities such as beach horse riding, sunset paddle boarding, scuba diving, bike riding, rock climbing, cliff diving, and canoeing are also available.
