This two-day package is for those who like to immerse themselves in the local atmosphere. It will take place in a family-run business. The staff will pick up you at the airport and take you to the accommodation, in one of the apartments in Doclea Travel & Tours' property. In two days of your stay, you will have one cooking class, dinner, breakfast, and accommodation.

You will have your own apartment. The apartment has two floors; the first floor is a double bed and on the second floor is a sofa. The apartment can accommodate up to four persons, but it is also for double or single-use, depending on the request. The bathroom is within the apartment.

Program

Day 1

The host will pick you up at the airport and take you to your accommodation in Balabani Local Stay. You will get your room settle. Then, follow the preparation for pastry lessons. You will learn how to make dough for Balkan pie (pita) and then you will learn how to spread it around the table! Once the pita is baked you are going to enjoy dinner in the garden and have a chance to try rakija and wine. Overnight.

Day 2

Breakfast in a traditional way. After breakfast, follows the second culinary lesson and that is making kacamak - traditional dish, that is Montenegrins very proud of. Kacamak represents a very old dish served in villages during hard periods of living in Old Montenegro. For lunch you will eat what you made, kacamak with sour milk.

End of the program.

Location

Balabani Local Stay is a local guesthouse, approximately 10 kilometers away from Podgorica, 5 kilometers from Podgorica Airport, and 10 kilometers away from Skadar Lake. It is a calm place in a valley of Zeta, with garden and plants around.

Food

Meals are included in the price. During the short culinary getaway, you will learn how to make the dough for Balkan pie (pita) and how to spread it over the table, and kacamak (traditional Montenegrin dish often served with sour milk).
