First of all, the Inn and grounds are beautiful. It is quiet, relaxing, and the staff are wonderful and friendly.
If you are looking for the experience you get at a "chain" hotel, this probably isn't the place for you. There is no pool, no hot tub, no big screen TVs in the rooms, no play area for the kids. What you do get is very personalized service, large beautiful rooms with large bathrooms. You get a quiet place to relax and unwind. Wether it's a drink in the cozy bar, sitting on the spacious deck watching the sunset, or enjoying a faubulous meal!
The food is incredible! You are also within walking distance of the small waterfront area, that has a brew pub, a bakery/cafe and a couple of restaurants.
This is the perfect spot for couples or small groups.
We loved the Inn, it is beautifully restored and the staff we met were all lovely. We checked into our suite and it was beautiful, exactly as shown, it was room #5. We made a reservation for dinner at the Inn and we were not disappointed, our server was fantastic and the food was delicious. We were so glad we did dinner at the Inn. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a quiet getaway.
This is a hundred year old house full of modern conveniences and comfort.
