What a surprise this place was! I stayed there for a very short weekend trip and didn't want to leave! From the green rice fields to the huge, luxurious bedroom suite, i felt so comfortable and relaxed. The outdoor bathroom was delightful and exceeded expectations with bath and sink carved out of nearby volcanic rock! Plus, the toiletries they offer are not your average hotel offerings, made from natural herbal products. You could spend time in your own private pool or the larger one for guests. If that's not enough relaxation, then maybe a yoga session to begin your day? Or, a lovely massage? DeMoksha has everything to destress the weary traveler.

The private villas are beautiful, and I love the bathrooms open to the sky. Taking an evening bath in the giant stone tub, surrounded by the smell of the flowers was a perfect way to end the day. The food was good and the staff was incredibly friendly.
Well...actually we had searched and saw the photos of this resort before, and already thought 'this looks nice'. But the time we stepped on it, everything just looks perfect, amazingly beautiful. It is way beyond 'nice', it almost feels like heaven. With the rice field, the view of some kind of forest, and it's ethnical decorations, this resort sure did bring us peace and happiness. Moreover, the staffs were all very nice did everything professionally. We can't wait to go back.

I stayed at De Moksha for a two-night romantic getaway in early June and I have to say that the whole experience exceeded all expectations I had before stepping foot on the property. We reached De Moksha by scooter. It wasn't far from the main road of Tabanan, but the small road leading to the property was heavily damaged so we had to really slow down to minimize turbulence. But that's no big deal as we actually travel on such damaged road a lot anyway in Bali. From the outside, you probably wouldn't have guessed the paradise hiding inside De Moksha's gates, but don't be fooled. As soon as we entered the resort, someone was already waiting for us despite our tardiness--we stated in our reservation we were coming at 2 but in fact we got there at 4 due to traffic congestion along Jimbaran through Seminyak (it was the weekend). A woman greeted us with welcome drinks (fresh coconut water with mint leaves) and two men carried our luggage. Walking the small path leading to our villa, we were already admiring the view. It was breathtaking; the combination of greeneries and the pools and the mushroom-like villa buildings. Our villa was the one named Yana and we couldn't contain our excitement as we stepped inside. While the building isn't that big, the interior design makes the entire place seemed more spacious than it actually was. There were 3 exit doors: one near the kitchen, one by the pool, and one by the poolside while another one leads to the outdoor bathroom. The kitchen in the villa was well-equipped and I even managed to cook us lunch (see picture) because I was too excited not to experience cooking in the kitchen. The function room had everything we needed: comfortable sofas with a smart TV that allows you to watch more than 200 blockbuster films, cable and local channels, even the internet (we actually spent our night watching Netflix and Youtube). And the bed - very comfortable to sleep in we didn't want to get out. The pillows and linens were fresh and smooth as silks. With the housekeeping seemingly in 24/7 standby, the room was kept super-neat all the time. Now the outdoor bathroom; definitely the best bathroom I have ever bathed in. The facilities looked very luxurious with soaps, shampoos, and everything provided crafted personally by De Moksha. The bathtub allows you to relax as the sun sets and bathe under the moonlight. Not to mention the sensation of bathing in an open-roof bathroom with trees in each corner - combined with its private pool - which make the entire experience of staying in the villa felt like this private getaway that was private enough to feel like you own the world but not too private to allow you some interaction with other guests and resort employees. As we stayed over the weekend, we were invited to join De Moksha's regular Saturday yoga session at their open space yoga studio next to the restaurant whose view includes a rice paddy. Not far from the restaurant, you'll find a larger public pool that was just the best thing ever - that is, until you climb up and find the main villa (with three bedrooms and an infinity pool which is open for public if the main villa is unoccupied). All in all, staying at De Moksha was just too good to be true. For the amount of money you pay to stay the night, you wouldn't expect what you're getting. You won't even get half the treatment you get at De Moksha for the same amount of money paid at any other similarly marketed villa and resort. Even better: when we checked out, we found out that the villa is actually not that far from Kedungu Beach (only about 4-5 kilometers) and Tanah Lot (probably 7-8 kilometers) and many other attractions. We don't know about you, but we're definitely coming back.

We really enjoy the atmosphere of the room and hotel. Overall experience was amazing, looking forward to come back again. I'm giving 4 at the breakfast because everyday was the same menu, I hope the restaurant can improve more.
