What a surprise this place was! I stayed there for a very short weekend trip and didn't want to leave! From the green rice fields to the huge, luxurious bedroom suite, i felt so comfortable and relaxed. The outdoor bathroom was delightful and exceeded expectations with bath and sink carved out of nearby volcanic rock! Plus, the toiletries they offer are not your average hotel offerings, made from natural herbal products. You could spend time in your own private pool or the larger one for guests. If that's not enough relaxation, then maybe a yoga session to begin your day? Or, a lovely massage? DeMoksha has everything to destress the weary traveler.

The private villas are beautiful, and I love the bathrooms open to the sky. Taking an evening bath in the giant stone tub, surrounded by the smell of the flowers was a perfect way to end the day. The food was good and the staff was incredibly friendly.

Well...actually we had searched and saw the photos of this resort before, and already thought 'this looks nice'. But the time we stepped on it, everything just looks perfect, amazingly beautiful. It is way beyond 'nice', it almost feels like heaven. With the rice field, the view of some kind of forest, and it's ethnical decorations, this resort sure did bring us peace and happiness. Moreover, the staffs were all very nice did everything professionally. We can't wait to go back.

I stayed at De Moksha for a two-night romantic getaway in early June and I have to say that the whole experience exceeded all expectations I had before stepping foot on the property. We reached De Moksha by scooter. It wasn't far from the main road of Tabanan, but the small road leading to the property was heavily damaged so we had to really slow down to minimize turbulence. But that's no big deal as we actually travel on such damaged road a lot anyway in Bali. From the outside, you probably wouldn't have guessed the paradise hiding inside De Moksha's gates, but don't be fooled. As soon as we entered the resort, someone was already waiting for us despite our tardiness--we stated in our reservation we were coming at 2 but in fact we got there at 4 due to traffic congestion along Jimbaran through Seminyak (it was the weekend). A woman greeted us with welcome drinks (fresh coconut water with mint leaves) and two men carried our luggage. Walking the small path leading to our villa, we were already admiring the view. It was breathtaking; the combination of greeneries and the pools and the mushroom-like villa buildings. Our villa was the one named Yana and we couldn't contain our excitement as we stepped inside. While the building isn't that big, the interior design makes the entire place seemed more spacious than it actually was. There were 3 exit doors: one near the kitchen, one by the pool, and one by the poolside while another one leads to the outdoor bathroom. The kitchen in the villa was well-equipped and I even managed to cook us lunch (see picture) because I was too excited not to experience cooking in the kitchen. The function room had everything we needed: comfortable sofas with a smart TV that allows you to watch more than 200 blockbuster films, cable and local channels, even the internet (we actually spent our night watching Netflix and Youtube). And the bed - very comfortable to sleep in we didn't want to get out. The pillows and linens were fresh and smooth as silks. With the housekeeping seemingly in 24/7 standby, the room was kept super-neat all the time. Now the outdoor bathroom; definitely the best bathroom I have ever bathed in. The facilities looked very luxurious with soaps, shampoos, and everything provided crafted personally by De Moksha. The bathtub allows you to relax as the sun sets and bathe under the moonlight. Not to mention the sensation of bathing in an open-roof bathroom with trees in each corner - combined with its private pool - which make the entire experience of staying in the villa felt like this private getaway that was private enough to feel like you own the world but not too private to allow you some interaction with other guests and resort employees. As we stayed over the weekend, we were invited to join De Moksha's regular Saturday yoga session at their open space yoga studio next to the restaurant whose view includes a rice paddy. Not far from the restaurant, you'll find a larger public pool that was just the best thing ever - that is, until you climb up and find the main villa (with three bedrooms and an infinity pool which is open for public if the main villa is unoccupied). All in all, staying at De Moksha was just too good to be true. For the amount of money you pay to stay the night, you wouldn't expect what you're getting. You won't even get half the treatment you get at De Moksha for the same amount of money paid at any other similarly marketed villa and resort. Even better: when we checked out, we found out that the villa is actually not that far from Kedungu Beach (only about 4-5 kilometers) and Tanah Lot (probably 7-8 kilometers) and many other attractions. We don't know about you, but we're definitely coming back.

We really enjoy the atmosphere of the room and hotel. Overall experience was amazing, looking forward to come back again. I'm giving 4 at the breakfast because everyday was the same menu, I hope the restaurant can improve more.

A reasonably newly opened hotel, which is exactly as you see on the website. We stayed in the 3-bed villa, which was amazing. The pool was beautiful and the beds and bed linen were superb. I have never experienced Tyrocel sheets, but they were so good that we went to order some for home! All of the shower gels, shampoo, etc. are made with natural ingredients, and it is the only time I have ever repacked my own shampoo / conditioner and used hotel ones. The staff were amazing, so eager to make sure you enjoyed your holiday, while never being intrusive. The choice, quality, and quantity of food at breakfast was tremendous, and in the evening you can choose off the menu or ask for the staff to cook Balinese food for you - this is a must do, it was delicious. I only ever write reviews for awful or amazing hotels - I can't recommend this hotel enough.

I went to Bali for holiday last week and I really admire the nature beauty this place serves. Next to it is a paddy field, which I never get to see up close until last week! They also hired a very good botanist. I think, a very nice variety of flowers and plants are sprawled in the open air. I would definitely go back here. I love the ingredients they use on the shampoo and soap; they are very natural.

When tI visited De Moksha for the first time, I felt like was in my best friend's home. All the stuff is just like a family. The best part of De Moksha is the swimming pool in front of your room. I wear a hijab, so it is important for me to find a private place, where I can take off my hijab, and swim without any worry. De Moksha has a restaurant with a rice field background, which I feel like I blended with the nature. And also the yoga studio, in front of the rice field, was so wonderful. I celebrated my birthday here in De Moksha, which was so quiet, so I can think more about life.

This resort is exceptional. It is newly opened and the owners, a couple from Jakarta, have clearly poured a ton of attention and love into this place. The location is ideal, if you want to be set away somewhere magical and different. It is close enough to some of the more touristy parts of Bali, but far enough that you get a sense of the real Bali. Very close to gorgeous fields, temples, and beaches. The service was stellar, and everything was sumptuously appointed. Didn't try the spa, but the pools (you get your own) were delightful.

What can I say but, wow! De Moksha was everything we wanted for our trip to Bali, and more! What a gorgeous and peaceful place to spend a week! The property was absolutely stunning. The rooms and the general layout of the resort were nothing short, but magical. It is clear that somebody had a very thoughtful, artistic eye, when this resort was designed. The pool and water features are incredible! And, the buildings themselves were so open, welcoming, and truly beautiful to experience. My husband and I really enjoyed the openness and the attention to detail in each of the buildings. The butler and staff at De Moksha were also top notch, very attentive, friendly, and responsive to our needs. We truly felt welcomed and would highly recommend this resort to anybody seeking a Balinese adventure off the beaten path.

De Moksha is a refreshing break from the crowded, tourist hubs of Bali. Located right beside a rice field, it is an amazing place to relax, and be one with nature, complete with its own yoga area and spa. The architecture and design of the eco-friendly leaf houses are unique and exquisite. The villas are circular that come with their own inviting beds and kitchens. Watch the 200 movies available in the sala. Step right outside the living room to swim in your own mini-pool, or take a bath in the stone tub in the open-air bathroom. Outside, there is an even bigger pool for guests, and a more intimate one below. Tanah Lot Temple is near the venue, and the beach is just a 10-minute drive. The staff was also accommodating and kind. My friend and I truly enjoyed our stay. It was a dream trip!

8 night luxury escape package at this resort was just what we needed to unwind and reboot, after a hectic period in our lives. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful during the day, and also at the night. The room is very spacious, it has a very comfortable bed, and the cleanliness is perfect. Staffs and services are outstanding, as well as the food. The pool and the bar are perfect for spending the whole day. I miss it already!

I went to stay solo at the De Moksha, before its official opening. Location is between a rice field and the river in the middle of nature with a stunning tropical garden. It feels like a hidden hideaway, very intimate. Views from the rooms are either to the own villa surrounding or the river and own saltwater pool (main villa). I had a usual small villa with little pool situated between other villas - but you do not really notice any neighbors. The room was in perfect condition, with great amenities and an incredibly comfortable bed. Very good restaurant. Breakfast choices are great and they offer a generous breakfast (fresh fruit and a choice of various cooked breakfasts). It is a la carte and, as all meals, served at your convenience in a restaurant or room. They offer something like full board for the room price. Extremely nice and helpful staff. Cannot rate the spa or yoga experience because I did not use it, but their yoga shala and spa area look very beautiful! You can walk to nearby villages but the most comfortable way to reach beaches is the drop-off shuttle or own motor. It's a great stay for couples or anyone seeking the experience of their own home that want to be a little off the Canggu business, but with service and the occasion to meet other guests for yoga or meals.

The resort's view is really nice, the villa is big with beautiful decoration. Mia, the marketing manager of the resort, is quite good in handling her guest. But it will be nicer, if you guys put the name of the tropical trees around the resort. Please add some kind of menus in the breakfast. Overall, the resort is good.

I love nature and this place is perfect! Surrounded with beautiful rice fields, in the Balinese village and close with Tanah Lot. A gorgeous setting with tropical garden and such wonderfully warm staff especially the owner, Gunawan, who is a very fun guy and a good cook! The one bedroom villa is spacious with lounge pool and kitchen (well, i didn't have to cook because this place have nice selection of foods). Definitely will come back again!
