Start your journey in the southern city of Saigon. Vietnam’s second city and gateway to the west. Test your skills with a private cooking lesson or venture off the beaten track, into the outer districts with your own private chef tour. Hear about the capture of Saigon by the Vietnamese people's liberation army in 1975 at the Reunification Palace from a historian before journeying into Saigon’s surrounding countryside. From the Cu Chi tunnels of the Vietnamese army to the agricultural waterways of the Mekong delta - the perfect introduction to this spellbinding country.

Hop on a short flight to Hoi An, the perfect spot to soak up the sun for a few days. Get a tailored suit to fit and enjoy a slice of Vietnamese country life. Stroll amongst temples and pagodas as the lanterns float by on the Hoi An River. Discover local markets and farming villages, while your local food expert shares stories about life in the countryside. Meet one of the most avant-garde young chefs in the country and learn his secret techniques to show off at your next dinner party, or just enjoy your own private tour around the old town.

A few hours drive away, through the stunning countryside is the ancient city of Hue. Let a local historian engage you in the history of the sprawling citadel before settling down for a dinner of the region’s famous regal cuisine at your very own palace.

Next stop is Hanoi, the country’s capital and intellectual center. Master the art of making the perfect Pho at one of Vietnams best cooking schools or simply relax by one of the many lakes with a cup of Vietnam's finest coffee. Home to some of Vietnam's most famous cultural sights, Hanoi offers the perfect finale to your trip.

"We are more than happy to report that our trip in Saigon was the highlight of the cruise! Everything was in place as we arrived and our guide Tu and his driver did everything they could to make our day complete. We enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere in the restaurant. We would recommend Culture Bites to any of our friends and found others who had taken the cruise tour who wished they had been with us."
