Upon arrival at Hanoi Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to the hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.
Your guide will pick you up for breakfast in Pho Bo Hang Dong Restaurant, a long-standing family-run eatery known for special broth and beef noodle.
Visit Café Kinh Do to savor authentic bakery from the French period. The special homemade yogurt and cakes taste as delicious as in the “Indochine in Vietnam” movie of the early 90s. The next place is Café Giang where to find egg coffee made from yolk combined with strong black coffee.
After coffee time, there will be mid-morning cyclo-ride along the Old Quarter. The cyclo will stop at Chau Long Market. Then, go to Ngoc Ha Village to see the communal house, village temple, and monument of B25 wreckage left in 1972.
Have lunch with banh cuon and bun cha. While banh cuon is the rolled rice flour cakes, bun cha includes rice vermicelli mixed with pork barbecue, crab spring rolls, etc. After lunchtime will be a walk in Hang Than Street to discover banh com, mango sweet soup, etc. Other outstanding spots are Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Temple of Literature, or Ethnology Museum.
Dinner will be prepared at Cha Ca La Vong serving the best rice vermicelli with grilled fish sausage.

The itinerary will begin with the drive to Duong Lam Ancient Village (known as “Hoi An of the Red River Delta”). This ancient site preserves the hundred-year-old houses which will amaze visitors during the walking trips, particularly in Mong Phu hamlet where you can find the original village entrance gate.
Visit a communal house to understand the Northern Vietnamese house architecture. Great local food to eat will include tofu, home-hosted lunch, and special soybean sauce. When you’re full, take an outdoor bicycle ride around the countryside Duong Lam. The cycling will be enjoyable with many chances to savor che lam (cake made from sticky rice flake, ginger, and sugar), che kho (mung bean cake), etc.
The bus will head to Pu Luong Nature Reserve situated between Mai Chau and Cuc Phuong National Park, for the very scenic sightseeing. And, when you get there, come closer the sites to know how water is flowing from the river to the artificial bamboo aqueducts which appear in the simple models of various sizes.

Your guide will take you to Madam Phuong Restaurant where you will be served the best Hoi An banh mi (Vietnamese sandwich), highly ranked by Anthony Bourdain. After breakfast, visit the local market in which local merchants sell the fresh ingredients of meat, chicken, fish, Tra Que vegetables, etc.
There are food stalls to taste Hoi An food such as cao lau noodle. Continue to the streets filled sweet tofu, banh can trung (little pancake with egg), Hoi An black coffee, etc.
Cycling to Tra Que Vegetable Village. The 15-minute cycling brings you to the fresh, peaceful, and photogenic garden where grows organic vegetables and herbs.
