A Taste of Lebanon explores the countrys great culinary and wine making traditions while at the same time visiting the scenic and cultural highlights. We invite you to indulge your senses and experience the delights of Lebanons wonderful food, wine and sights on this luxury holiday. Visit the great Roman ruins at Baalbek and the picturesque fishing harbour of Byblos. You will have the opportunity to dine at some of Beiruts finest restaurants; taste an amazingly varied series of mezze; and gain hands on experience in the preparation of this world class cuisine during a private cookery class.
Wine is second only to food in Lebanon where there is a history of viticulture dating back more than 6,000 years. Oenophiles will be treated with visits and tastings at four of Lebanons finest wineries in the two distinct regions of the Bekaa Valley, and the northern Batroun circuit. The soil and climate of the Southern Bekaa Valley is particularly well suited to viticulture and has produced many award winning vintages, while the wineries in the emerging Batroun region have demonstrated they can grow excellent wine grapes and have added diversity to the terrior.
