First, Julie meets you at the Napa Farmers Market. As she selects items from vendors for your meal later on, she also shares such interesting information about the local market items....vegetables, fruits, cheeses, etc. Next stop for the grocery list is Oxbow Public Market. The spice and seasoning vendor provides her w necessary ingredients for our cooking class. Julius shares info about a few of her go-to seasonings. You end up at her lovely home for a hands on cooking class using items purchased at the markets. Participants share in preparation to end up eating a fabulous lunch, alfresco.

My wife and I reserved a spot in this cooking class and it was fantastic! We started with meeting Julie and everyone in our class at the Farmers Market. We then toured the market with Julie as she explained everything from how to pick vegetables and fruits to spices and olive oils. Then we took all of the ingredients to her kitchen and learned techniques and tricks to help prepare a great meal. We even learned how to properly cut an onion with minimal waste. This class is great for new and experienced cooks alike. It is fun just to learn from somebody as experienced and well travelled as Julie. This was one of the highlights of our best vacation yet! We will definitely do this again!

I absolutely loved this class. The farmers market was spectacular. Fruits, vegetables and meats and fish that were incredible and so fresh. I loved the class too. We had so much fun and the menu was out of this world. Julie is a fantastic chef and the entire group had so much fun. I have taken several cooking classes in Napa and this one was by far the most fun and delicious? I highly recommend it.

I took a cooking class with Julie on September 22 with my parents and had a blast. Julie shares her experience and is patient with her students. She provides delicious simple recipes for all types of cooks. We made blue cheese & almonds stuffed pears with salad greens, roast salmon with wild mushroom duxelle (crust), braised fingerling potato coins and queen of sheba cake (chocolate goddess cake). I would recommend cooking with Julie to anyone. She is very informative and I love it when she takes you through the local farmers market to shop for supplies you will cook with for the class.

Educational, fun, relaxing, and a delicious meal! Loved the different varieties of produce that we do not have access to in my locality, and meeting other people and working on our meal together, and then relaxing and sharing the fruits of our labor together with Julie. She has a wonderful set up in her home to accommodate the cooking teams and is very patient with the less skilled which would include myself.
