"We had the best time at our cooking class. Špela is a wonderful teacher and so welcoming. We had such a great time chatting and cooking with her. We take a cooking class wherever we travel and both agreed this was one of our favorite. Loved that she shared some family recipes with us - struklji was my favorite local dish - the one we made with Špela was the best I had all week (and I ate a lot of struklji while in Slovenia ;). The recipes really are possible to make back at home. In fact, I've already tried my hand at some and they've turned out great. We also really enjoyed sampling all her homemade liqueurs. If you are visiting Ljubljana definitely make sure you book a cooking class with Špela!"

"We have done cooking classes around Europe and they are all different. We really enjoyed our class with Spela and were so glad she found time for us during the busy Christmas holidays. Our evening went very quickly - we enjoyed learning about traditional Slovenian food and the wine. The food we made was traditional but tasty and things we should be able to replicate at home with minor ingredient changes. While we have experience cooking I think this class is perfect for all levels; Spela makes cooking accessible and you also learn so much about Slovenia and its food culture. If you have time, you wouldn't miss a workshop with Spela."

"My wife and I joined this cooking class during our visit to Ljubljana, and had a fantastic night! The class not only provided instruction on making some delicious traditional dishes, but also was an insight into Slovenian culture. We had a great time with Špela, and particularly enjoyed trying her own handmade liqueurs. We would happily recommend to others, and would love to come back someday to do one of her countryside food and wine tours!"

"We had an amazing evening learning, laughing and cooking with Špela! I would highly recommend this. Špela was so welcoming. The evening was so much fun, really relaxed but super organised and we made delicious Slovenian dishes. We had so many questions for Špela who was happy to talk to us at length and gave us lots of advice. We enjoyed sitting down eating our prepared meals and trying different Slovenian wines. Would do it again!"

"Špela made this class excellent! After we reserved our class she was great at communicating with us to make sure we knew what to expect and to ensure our preferences were noted. We arrived on time to find a smiling and welcoming Špela ready for us. She sat us down, and went over the menu while we munched on delicious, traditional starters. After that we all got busy. Our two boys (age 13 and 10) loved working with her (as we all did!). Everything we cooked was amazing and Špela was great about showing us how to do something and letting us do it. "

"We have taken 5 cooking classes in 4 different countries, and our kids loved the class with Špela the most! She treated them wonderfully and was willing to let them participate fully. We will come back and plan to take cooking classes with her again, as well as her other options. "

"My wife and I signed up for a cooking class while I was working in Ljubljana. We met Spela and we felt like we were friends for a long time. The class was professional and fun at the same time. I love cooking and she taught us some Slovenian traditional dishes. I loved the mashed potato dumplings, everything was so good. When I got back to States I cooked this dish for friend. I highly recommend going to one of these classes. You will have fun and learn to cook new dishes. Spela is a great chef."
