The cooking classes are held in Raffaella's home in Perugia by a native home chef, where a convivial lunch from dishes prepared during the class will be served, and will be accompanied by wines produced in the farm. The cooking courses are aimed at being a full immersion into Umbrian gastronomic culture and include the preparation of real Italian dishes, traditional recipes, and the learning of the basic techniques of Mediterranean cuisine. Their approach to cooking can be wrapped up in three words: simple, seasonal, and local. The recipes come from the Mediterranean tradition, especially from central Italy (Umbria and Tuscany).
The programs are very flexible and you can ask Raffaella for changes, like the length of the vacation, the number of cooking lessons, and the number and type of excursions. You can plan your personal holiday together with Raffaella, as she will be answering to your emails.
It is also possible to bring along a non-participating partner who can spend the morning enjoying the surroundings, and could then join the group at lunchtime. Groups are kept small, and vary between two and eight participants, in order to assure a better enjoyment of each other's company and get as much attention as possible from your hosts.
